ASUU-IMSU REJECTS ILLEGAL SUPERVISION OF GST EXAMS BY NON-ACADEMIC STAFF The Executive Committee of ASUU-IMSU, rising from its emergency meeting today, 14th October 2025, vehemently condemns the ongoing supervision of GST examinations by non-academic staff amid the union’s declared warning strike. This action is not only a gross violation of university norms but a brazen act of unprofessionalism and institutional sabotage. Let it be clearly stated: any examination conducted under these illegal conditions is null, void, and will not be recognized for graduation or academic progression. ASUU-IMSU reminds all its members that the union is currently observing a two-week warning strike as declared by ASUU national. All academic activities, including examination duties, remain suspended. Members are urged to remain united, unwavering, and vigilant in defending the integrity of the academic profession. Enough is enough. Solidarity Forever. Com Stephen Oguji Chairperson, ASUU-IMSU

The warning strike shall be total and comprehensive as agreed at the last NEC meeting” - ASUU President.

“What they are doing is just enforcing a NEC resolution. We have agreed at NEC that our members are going through a lot since our migration out of the Integrated Personnel Payroll and Information System. Certainly, our salaries are delayed for a week and sometimes 10 days before our members receive the paltry amount we get to help us carry out our duties well. “Therefore, we agreed that if there is no pay, there will be no work,” - ASUU President.
