I thank the beloved community of Gent, Belgium ⁦ @MoskeeElAlbani⁩ for their wonderful hospitality and hosting of the conference this weekend. ‎May Allāh reward them, and all attendees from Belgium, as well as those who travelled in from other countries such as Germany, France, & the Netherlands. ‎It was a pleasure to meet with all our brothers. ‎I ask Allāh to grant our brothers in Europe further success in the da’wah, it is pleasing to see that their marākiz & masājid are all connected with the Scholars, taking guidance & advice from them—as was always the case during the time of al-‘Allāmah Rabī bin Hādī & al-‘Allāmah ‘Ubayd al-Jābirī , al-‘Allāmah Zaid al-Madkhalī & many others رحمهم الله…and continues to be the case with our scholars still alive today—the very ones recommended by those seniors who passed away—the likes of al-‘Allāmah al-Bukhārī حفظه الله and others. ‎This is what aids in keeping communities safe from trials & tribulations, safe from pretenders to knowledge who wish to take over the arena, safe from splitting and misguidance itself no less. ‎May Allāh keep them united behind our Scholars. ‎وفق الله الجميع Abū Mu’adh Taqweem 19th July, 2026

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said about the Scholars: “[They] are the inheritors of the Prophets. Allāh has made them like the stars, by which people are guided through the darknesses of the land and sea…” (رفع الملام عن الأئمة الأعلام) ‎I look forward to the 2nd Sufyān at-Thawrī Conference in the North of the U.K. on 22nd - 26th July In’sha’Allah, organised by several Salafī Marākiz in cooperation, the title of which is: ‎“The Scholars: Stars of Guidance in the Darkness of Land & Sea” ‎Trials & tribulations increase as time goes by and we near the Day of Judgement, the Scholars are a vital source of guidance for us all in such times, their importance cannot be underestimated. ‎Join us along with your families for several days of beneficial talks & knowledge. ‎I look forward to participating along with the noble & respected du’āt who were able to attend this year: Abū Muhammad al-Maghribī (Marietta, USA) & Hamza ‘AbdurRazzāq (Philadelphia, USA).

Shaikh ‘Arafāt bin Hasan Al-Muḥammadī—may Allah preserve and protect him—will, by Allāh’s permission, be participating in the upcoming knowledge-based Dawrah in the Philippines in the coming days. ‎This is a valuable opportunity for the people of the Philippines and those in neighboring countries to meet the Shaikh and benefit directly from his knowledge and guidance. It is an opportunity that should not be missed by anyone who is keen upon goodness and the pursuit of knowledge. ‎I encourage my brothers to take advantage of this opportunity and not pay attention to the words of those who seek to discourage people and turn them away from avenues of benefit and goodness. ‎Shaikh ‘Arafāt—may Allāh bless his efforts and increase him in success—is well known for his service to knowledge and da‘wah, as well as for teaching the people and spreading the Sunnah. Allāh has brought benefit through him to communities in numerous countries, and he has authored beneficial articles, research papers, and books from which many have benefitted. ‎As for those whose only concern is belittling people of virtue and casting aspersions upon their efforts, their likeness is that of one who seals off a flowing spring from which people drink, yet opens no alternative source of water for them; he neither preserves the existing benefit nor has efforts of his own to take its place. ‎الشيخ عرفات بن حسن المحمدي — حفظه الله ورعاه — سيشارك، بإذن الله تعالى، في الدورة العلمية المقامة في الفلبين خلال الأيام المقبلة. ‎وهي فرصة ثمينة لأهل الفلبين ومن جاورهم من البلدان للقاء الشيخ والاستفادة من علمه وتوجيهاته مباشرة، ولا ينبغي أن تُفوَّت على من حرص على الخير وطلب العلم. ‎وإني أوصي إخواني باغتنام هذه الفرصة، وعدم الالتفات إلى كلام المثبطين الذين يحولون بين الناس وبين مصادر النفع والخير. فالشيخ عرفات — بارك الله في جهوده وزاده توفيقاً وتسديداً — معروف ببذله في خدمة العلم والدعوة وفي تعليم الناس ونشر السنة، فقد نفع الله به في بلدان متعددة، وألَّف مقالاتٍ وبحوثًا وكتبًا نافعةً انتفع بها كثيرٌ من الناس. ‎وأما من لا همَّ له إلا الانتقاص من أهل الفضل والطعن في جهودهم، فمثله كمثل من يردم عينًا جارية ينتفع بها الناس، ثم لا يفتح لهم سبيلًا إلى ماءٍ غيرها؛ فلا أبقى على النفع القائم، ولا بذل من الجهد ما يُعوَّض به أو يُستعاض عنه.

We welcome all our brothers and sisters once again for this year’s Sufyān at-Thawrī Conference in the North of the U.K. The event will be held once again across several locations over 5 days; Sheffield/Liverpool/Nelson, with the addition of our brothers of Bolton & Rochdale also participating this year, either through hosting lectures or organisational and technical aspects. @MasjidHudaSheff @OfficialMarkazBukhari @SalafiDawaLancs @AlhudaBolton @TawheedRochdale It is a great blessing of Allāh such gatherings can be freely held, Quran & Sunnah can be learnt, brotherhood built, and many other benefits acquired. I look forward to participating along with the noble and respected du’āt: Abū Muhammad al-Maghribī and Hamza AbdurRazzāq from the USA, in addition to the honourable Scholars via telelink in-shā-Allāh. I encourage all who are able to travel, to join their brothers in Salafiyyah and freely attend along with families and friends, everyone is welcome.
