📌 USST Update on Stellar A Simple Explanation Many are discussing USST, which is currently priced at 1 USST ≈ 1 XLM on the Stellar DEX. The question is: Will XLM rise to $1, or will USST rise? The answer is more likely to be that USST will rise closer to its true value. Why? USST is a stablecoin designed to stabilize at $1, backed by real-world assets (RWA) like treasuries. Because it has just launched (almost 3 million USST have been requested), liquidity on DEXs is still low, so the price is temporarily lower than the peg. Naturally, traders and institutions will take advantage of this opportunity → buy cheap on DEXs, then redeem/mint on the official protocol. This usually pushes the USST price back up to $1. If XLM rises to $1? It would require a very large surge (currently ~$0.20). While XLM has long-term potential, it's not a quick scenario. Positive news from USST officials: The smart contract has been audited. Proof of Reserves is transparent and can be checked on-chain at stellar.stbl.com. Partnership with StellarOrg to support institutional investors. Conclusion: USST, which trades cheaply on DEXs, could be an opportunity, but still play it safe and pay attention to liquidity.
