Crypto trading activity is declining: Daily trading volume across the 44 spot crypto exchanges tracked by Kaiko fell to ~$15 billion last week, the lowest level of the year. This marks a -70% decline from January peak levels. By comparison, in February, there were 2 trading days when volume exceeded $100 billion. As a result, the average daily volume trend has fallen -50% since December 2025, to $20 billion, the lowest this year. Meanwhile, trading volume remains heavily concentrated, with the 6 largest exchanges accounting for more than 60% of total activity. Crypto market liquidity is drying up.

Bitcoin: we're almost there. The Satoshimeter is sitting right where every major bottom has printed. 2011, 2015, 2019, 2022 - same green zone, same accumulation phase, every single time. And here we are again. Accumulation is nearing its end. The one thing still outstanding is capitulation - the spring. A final flush that could wick us down into the low fifties (53k invalidation level, weekly close), shake out the last weak hands, and set the floor. That's the thing to wait for. Every bottom on this chart looked terrifying in the moment. Every one of them was a generational buying opportunity.

Bitcoin closed July $62,818 200-week moving average $63k Realized price $52k (still decreasing) Monthly RSI 43 (still < 50) It looks like bitcoin has started the bottoming process. This normally takes 1-3 months and BTC would drop lower during this phase (below realized). DYOR.

Capitulation is no where to be seen. Bitcoin holders just started to realized losses on a yearly basis, -136K Bitcoin. However, previous cycles bottomed at -1.3M and -3.7M Bitcoin of annual realized losses. Either this is the most benign cycle in terms of realized losses or there's still a lot of room to go.

$BTC miners are capitulating. It's worse than 2014, 2018 & 2022. This cycle so far has been the worst in history for miners.
