This is to clarify our position on these developments and to affirm that the operations carried out by our Armed Forces against Saudi ships, troop concentrations, and camps stationed inside Yemen fall within the framework of our legitimate response to the attacks targeting our Yemeni people, particularly the brutal attack on Sana'a Airport on July 13, 2026. ​For four years, Sana'a committed to the truce and de-escalation, and did not carry out any aggressive act against Saudi Arabia. In return, however, Saudi Arabia exploited this truce for a calculated escalation on the economic and livelihood fronts, aiming to exhaust the Yemeni people. It tightened its imposed blockade on the Yemeni people through the arbitrary inspection measures imposed on ships arriving at the Port of Hodeidah, delaying them for months. It also targeted banks, money exchangers, and merchants with decisions drafted in the name of those residing in its hotels. This has multiplied the humanitarian crisis, increased costs, and negatively impacted the Yemeni citizen, who now finds himself facing exorbitant prices for basic commodities. ​We affirm that we have not closed the door to dialogue and negotiation, neither in the past nor the present, and that it is the Saudi side that rejects it. It recently declared this clearly, contradicting its own statements in which it claims to support peaceful solutions. By doing so, it seeks to stall in order to complete its conspiracies and military preparations to plunge the country into endless chaos and wars. Consequently, the Armed Forces will continue to carry out their national and responsible duty in confronting these conspiracies, defending Yemen's sovereignty, independence, and dignity, and wresting the full rights of the Yemeni people, by the will of Allah. ​In light of the regional and international communications the National Negotiating Delegation is receiving regarding these developments, we emphasize that any upcoming path must result in the realization of the legitimate rights of the Yemeni people.
