Today marks 101 years since the birth of Alija Izetbegović, the first President of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Born on August 8, 1925, in Bosanski Šamac, Alija Izetbegović left a deep mark on the political and contemporary history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was a man who, in the most difficult of times, spoke of peace, freedom, dignity, and the right of Bosnia and Herzegovina to exist. His work was defined by faith, principle, and the effort to preserve the state and the people to which he belonged. To some, he was a statesman; to others, a symbol of resistance and the struggle for Bosnia -but his name remains inseparable from the most difficult years of modern Bosnian history. Today, 101 years after his birth, we remember him with pride and respect. Rahmet mu duši

☪⚜⚔ On this day, he was 29 years old, had three children, had graduated from the Military Academy, commanded hundreds of men, faced five enemy corps attacking him, defended his country, had his "čaršija" behind him, several bullets in his body, and his soul on its last breath. Today, he holds the posthumous rank of brigadier general, the Golden Lily award, is one of the nine heroes of the Defense-Liberation War, commands the respect of many, and of you, who will open Google and type "Izet Nanić."

Harun Mehmedinović - The Acts of Reburial I need this Serb extremist police officer who was at Ripač concentration camp identified for theactsofreburial.com. He’s likely playing with the skull of one of the Ljutočka Dolina prisoners they murdered during the Bosnian Genocide. Photograph was found when Ripač was liberated by 5th Corps in 1994. Who is this? Internet, do your thing. Told ya guys, Serb extremists are a death cult that likes caves and playing with bones. I have seen so many photos and vids with skulls being played with or nailed to hoods of cars. Many Nevesinje bodies found are missing skulls, for example. Do the math. I guarantee you there are many skulls these guys kept as trophies sitting on their shelves right now. This was written under this photo on a website: “This is the son of Nino the driver, his father worked as an ambulance driver at the Bihac polyclinic.” If this is correct, who was Nino the driver from Bihać polyclinic and what is his son’s name.

  • HOW SHAME WAS DRIVEN INTO THE MINDS OF BOSNIAKS I took the lower photograph of the rebuilt Nezir Aga Mosque in Mostar from the exact same spot as the photographer who, 76 years earlier, captured the youth work brigade demolishing this mosque, which was exactly 400 years old (upper photograph). The image shows young women from Bosniak families in the Mostar neighborhoods of Ograda and Šemovac, whom the communist authorities forced to demolish the mosque in 1950. Although the Serb communists knew very well -and their own historians wrote -that religion is the soul of every culture, and that faith is the defining line between the peoples living in Bosnia and Herzegovina, only the Bosniaks were expected to renounce their religious and cultural heritage and replace their faith with ideology. The consequences of that violence and hatred, embedded in the social system, remain very strong among Bosniaks even 76 years after the demolition depicted in the upper photograph. By Ahmet Kurt

  • On July 13, a Muslim cemetery in Mostar was desecrated with swastikas, and a severed pig's head was left on its grounds. Today, reports have emerged of a similar incident at a Muslim cemetery in Livno, where Ustasha graffiti was sprayed across the site. Much…

  • 📢 Two days after the Srebrenica Genocide anniversary - a severed pig’s head is left at a Muslim graveyard in Mostar. This is everyday life for Bosniaks in Bosnia: Provocations, Threats, Insults. And if they speak up? They’re labeled “radicals.”
