I am extremely disappointed with Bitget’s KYB and compliance process. What should have been a straightforward business verification turned into weeks of repetitive requests, changing requirements, and contradictory responses. Throughout the process, I provided every document requested from me, including official German business registration documents, tax and VAT documentation, proof of address, residence documents, identification documents, and multiple detailed explanations. The issue was never that Bitget performs compliance checks. Strict KYB and compliance procedures are understandable and necessary. The problem is how this process was handled. Documents were requested, submitted, and then followed by new requirements. Documents that were explicitly listed as acceptable were later declared insufficient. One particularly clear example: Bitget explicitly listed a VAT Registration Certificate (USt-IdNr.) among the acceptable documents. I provided exactly that official document. Later, I was informed that it was nevertheless insufficient for their compliance requirements. Then another document was requested. Then another clarification. Then another requirement. At some point, this stops looking like a structured compliance process and starts looking like an endless verification loop. I have spent considerable time responding to these requests, submitting official documents, explaining the same information repeatedly, and trying to satisfy requirements that kept changing during the process. Enough is enough. I have now formally withdrawn the entire KYB application, terminated the onboarding process, and requested deletion of all submitted documents and personal/business data to the extent legally possible. For a global cryptocurrency exchange, this level of inconsistency in a business onboarding process is unacceptable. Strict compliance is not the problem. Changing requirements after applicants comply with them is. Repetitive template responses are. Making businesses repeatedly submit and explain official documentation without bringing the process to a conclusion is. After this experience, I have lost confidence in Bitget as a potential business, API integration, and affiliate partner. A professional compliance process should be strict, but it must also be consistent, transparent, efficient, and competent.
