📖AI Companies Are Buying Books in Bulk – and Destroying Them 404 Media has published a report raising serious questions about how modern AI companies obtain training data. According to the report, AI companies have begun purchasing vast quantities of old physical books. The reason is simple: books are one of the largest sources of “clean” text written by humans rather than generated by neural networks. Books published before 2022 are particularly valuable because they predate the widespread availability of AI-generated content. Using them helps prevent AI models from being trained on text that was itself generated by other AI systems. For example, ISBNdb offers AI labs a service that can source anywhere from 1,000 to 1 million books in a single order. The books are then scanned and converted into datasets for AI training. To digitize such enormous quantities of books quickly, the books are effectively destroyed. Hydraulic cutting equipment removes the binding, the pages are separated into individual sheets, and high-speed industrial scanners convert them into PDFs. The remaining paper is sent for recycling. Anthropic is cited as one example. Court documents reportedly show that the company purchased large quantities of physical books, cut them apart, and scanned them to train its Claude model. The company allegedly attempted to keep the process confidential. OpenAI, Google, xAI, and other companies are not named in the report. According to 404 Media, ISBNdb’s customers are reluctant to disclose that they are purchasing and destroying millions of books for AI training. Elon Musk, however, responded to the report: “I asked the SpaceX AI team to preserve all the rare books in the library and digitize them using traditional methods rather than simply cutting off their bindings and scanning them.” Turning physical books into datasets for AI training raises an unsettling question: perhaps we are already living in the dystopian future we once imagined.

🤖 Over 1 Million ChatGPT Users Show Signs of Suicide Risk Each Week OpenAI revealed that about 0.15% of ChatGPT’s 800 million weekly users show signs of suicidal planning, while another 0.15% show emotional dependence and 0.07% show signs of psychosis or mania. Those percentages sound small, but they translate to roughly 1.2 million users discussing suicide-related concerns, 1.2 million showing unhealthy attachment, and 560,000 experiencing possible mental health crises every week. The disclosure comes as AI companies face growing scrutiny over how chatbots handle vulnerable users, highlighting the massive mental-health challenges that emerge at ChatGPT’s scale. Here is the 5-minute rule that can save you or a relative: 1. If you or someone you know is using ChatGPT as a therapist, the US suicide line is 988. Call or text. Free. 24 hours. 2. If you have a teen, open ChatGPT, Settings, Parental Controls. Link your account to theirs. Turn on quiet hours and distress alerts. 4 minutes. 3. Check their phone for Character AI, Replika, and Nomi. Character AI banned under-18s on November 25, 2025. The other two officially ban minors but teens still get in with fake birthdays. 4. Replace one AI chat a day with one text to a real person. by 🏴Crypto Head

🤖Anthropic Unveils Fable 5: The Dawn of 'Mythos-Class' Intelligence Anthropic has officially pulled back the curtain on its most formidable AI architecture to date: Claude Fable 5, the flagship release of its new "Mythos-class" models. While Fable 5 is now generally available to the public, Anthropic is keeping its ultimate heavyweight, Mythos 5, restricted to exclusive Glasswing partners for now. According to the company, Fable 5 comfortably eclipses its predecessors across a battery of benchmarks, setting a new high-water mark for the organization's technological capabilities. • The Cost of Deep Reasoning Operating at the bleeding edge of AI development doesn't come cheap, but Anthropic is positioning its newcomer to compete aggressively with existing frontier models. The pricing structure is set at: - Input: $10 per million tokens - Output: $50 per million tokens • A Leap Toward True Agentic AI What actually sets Fable 5 apart from the digital herd? Early data suggests a profound leap in specialized, high-context cognitive tasks. The model is demonstrating remarkable proficiency in: - Agentic Coding: Moving beyond simple code generation to autonomously managing complex, multi-step development pipelines. - Intricate Logic & Reasoning: Handling nuanced, multi-layered problem-solving that routinely trips up lesser systems. - Real-World Tool Integration: Interacting dynamically with external software environments and APIs to execute complex workflows. Fable 5 represents a distinct shift from passive text generation toward active, tool-wielding digital agents—a major step forward in the evolution of practical artificial intelligence.

🙆♂️Elon Musk Loses Lawsuit Against OpenAI and Sam Altman A California jury unanimously dismissed Musk’s case after just two hours of deliberation, ruling that he had filed it too late — the legal deadline had already expired. Musk had donated $38 million to OpenAI when it was still a nonprofit. His argument was simple: he gave money to build AI for the benefit of humanity, not to create a for‑profit company now valued at over $852 billion. On the stand he said: “It’s not okay to steal a charity.” Altman presented a different version to the jury, saying Musk’s claims misrepresented the history of OpenAI. by 🏴Crypto Head
🤖The First Company Destroyed by AI Chegg Inc — an American online education platform built around helping students with homework – was once thriving. 🗓In 2021, its stock traded around $90, marking peak success. 🗓In 2022, ChatGPT arrived. Instead of paying $15–20 per month for Chegg, students could simply ask ChatGPT for free and get instant answers. 👇The result: Chegg’s stock collapsed from $90 to $0.99, losing 98% of its value. Key takeaway: If a company’s only revenue source is access to information, and AI can provide that information for free, the company risks being wiped out from the market. by 🏴Crypto Head

🇺🇸🇮🇷WSJ: Trump Ready to End Iran War Even if Strait of Hormuz Stays Closed According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Trump and his advisers have decided to wind down military operations against Iran sooner rather than later. ↔️A full mission to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could extend the war by 4-6 weeks, but Trump reportedly sees this as unnecessary and doesn’t want delays beyond the planned timeline. ↔️His team believes the main objectives have already been achieved: Iran’s navy and missile arsenals have suffered serious damage. The current situation is being framed as a “victory.” ↔️Trump now aims to minimize hostilities and use diplomatic pressure to force Iran to allow free trade flows. ↔️If diplomacy fails, Washington plans to pressure European and Gulf allies to take responsibility for reopening the Strait. 📈Market reaction: U.S. stock futures rose on the news, as Trump appears set to end the war quickly and shift strategy toward diplomacy and alliances. Analysts say this could bring major shifts in global energy markets and geopolitics. by 🏴Crypto Head
⁉️Why Warren Buffett Avoids Gold and Bitcoin Buffett applies a simple rule to any investment: the ideal asset should generate cash flow over time. For example, companies produce profits (dividends), and real estate generates rental income. But gold and Bitcoin produce nothing — you buy them, and they just sit there. The only way to profit is if someone else buys them later at a higher price. Economists call this the “Greater Fool Theory.” That’s why Buffett doesn’t consider them true investments, but rather speculative assets. by 🏴Crypto Head
🤑This Man Printed $250M in His Basement – Served Just 6 Weeks Frank Bourassa didn’t just counterfeit money – he made it better than the government’s own bills. 🔥He spent two years studying every security feature of the $20 bill, even tricking a paper mill into producing the exact cotton‑linen blend used by the U.S. Treasury. 🔥When the Secret Service caught him, he was facing 60 years in prison – but Bourassa had a backup: $200M in hidden cash he hadn’t spent. 🔥He struck a deal with the Feds, trading the stash’s location for his freedom. 🔥In the end, he served just 6 weeks and paid a fine of $1,350. That’s basically the price of a TV for a $250M crime. by 🏴Crypto Head
🌐How a $100 domain turned into a $70,000,000 sale In 1993, Arsyan Ismail registered AI.com for $100. He was 10 years old. The letters matched his initials. He held the domain for 32 years. Ismail built early internet projects in parallel. He released Orenscript as a teenager, shipped popular mIRC tools, launched a local social network, founded 1337 Tech, and became an early Bitcoin user with marketplace experiments. Over time, AI.com became one of the rarest domains online. Two letters tied to the most valuable tech narrative. By 2023, it was redirecting between giants like ChatGPT and xAI, watched as a digital trophy. In 2026, the sale closed. Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek bought AI.com for $70,000,000, paid fully in crypto. The deal was brokered by Larry Fischer. $100 became $70M. Time did the work. by 🏴Crypto Head
😎Jensen Huang once sold Nvidia stock to buy a Mercedes Jensen Huang shared a story at the World Economic Forum about a gift that became very expensive over time. 🖱 After Nvidia’s IPO in 1999, he sold part of his shares to buy his parents a Mercedes S Class S600 with a 6 liter V12. The car cost about $135,000. Nvidia was valued at $300 million and the stock traded at $12. 🖱 The sale involved 11,250 shares. Since then, Nvidia has completed 7 stock splits. Those shares would now equal about 5.4 million shares. 🖱 At a current price near $187, that stake would be worth over $1 billion. For scale, the Rolls Royce Droptail costs about $32 million and only 4 exist. Huang joked that it was the most expensive car in the world. His parents still own it. His remaining Nvidia stake is now valued at roughly $123 billion. by 🏴Crypto Head

🪙January 3, 2009 – The Birth of Bitcoin On January 3, 2009, the Bitcoin network launched with the mining of its very first block – the genesis block. This date marks the starting point of today’s crypto‑asset industry. Its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, received 50 BTC from that block and embedded a hidden message inside. The message quoted a headline from The Times: “Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.” This line was no accident. It pointed directly to the financial crisis of the time – governments rescuing banks with taxpayer money and excessive money printing that eroded ordinary people’s savings. Soon after, Satoshi disappeared, leaving Bitcoin as an ownerless, decentralized system. Since then, it has been sustained by its community, evolving into an independent monetary network beyond the control of states and banks. by 🏴Crypto Head
