Dear Valued Customers, Due to rising global IP leasing costs, DMIT has transitioned to purchasing and independently managing our own IP addresses to ensure long-term stability and absorb cost pressures. We understand some users may need to retain their existing Cogent IPs (IPs starting with 154). You may keep these IPs; however, due to external cost increases, a surcharge of $1 USD/month per IPv4 will be applied to products retaining 154-prefix IPs starting December 1, 2026. This fee will be automatically added to your invoice and can be canceled at any time if you no longer need the IP. How to avoid this fee: You can switch to our new, self-owned IP addresses at any time. This replacement is completely free. Simply log in to your Control Panel, go to the Network tab, and manually request an IP change (select the "Discontinued Cogent IP" rule). **If your service does not use any IP addresses starting with 154, you are completely unaffected by this change.* Thank you for your continued support and trust in DMIT. Please contact our support team if you have any questions. -— Additional Notes: 1. The IP surcharge only applies to renewal invoices generated after December 1, 2026. Existing invoices and base renewal prices remain unchanged. 2. You can temporarily avoid the fee by completing your renewal before your next renewal invoice is generated. 3. Security Maintenance Notification for past emergency maintenance done by APAC Team. Location: Los Angeles and Hong Kong Datacenter Scope: Part of LAX and HKG KVM hypervisors. Impact: Some customer VMs may have experienced a short restart or temporary service interruption Date: 2026-07-07 UTC Reason: Mitigation for Januscape, CVE-2026-53359 DMIT has restarted some services and selected virtualization components to mitigate the recently disclosed Januscape vulnerability. Januscape affects KVM/x86 virtualization isolation. To reduce exposure and maintain platform safety, we performed controlled restarts on affected service components in LAX and HKG. The operation was completed in batches to minimize simultaneous customer impact. Current status: • Required service restarts have been completed. • Affected services are being monitored. • Additional kernel or virtualization component updates may still require future maintenance windows. • No customer action is required at this time unless separately notified. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the short service interruption. DMIT will continue to monitor the situation and apply further updates if required.

This security breach gives shell access of your VM to public. This is prohibited by DMIT’s AUP. Based on the TOS and AUP, client has obligations to maintain the safety of their system and software. Due to the heavy support workload, once it was suspended, your VM might need more than few days to get unsuspended.
