Hello guys, I'm excited to share details about an open-source Android system assistant I've been developing, called OpenAssistant. Its goal is to serve as a complete replacement for default system assistants like Google Assistant or Gemini. Current Status and Features • The project is still a work in progress and highly experimental. While features are functional, testing has been limited to a few high-end devices, including Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models. • The application utilizes local AI models to handle all voice, camera, and text interactions. • The app offers a full chat history, a live conversational mode with camera interaction, MCP support, and functionality for routines and skills. The source code is now available, and any test or contribution is welcome The app will be released in the next few weeks, I will provide some test builds soon.
