Hello everyone, my name is Suraj. I have been preparing for CSIR-NET for the last 4–5 years. During this journey, I qualified CSIR-NET LS three times, with AIR 8, AIR 19, and AIR 39. However, despite these achievements, I was unable to crack JRF. Honestly, there were times when I felt disappointed and questioned whether I would ever be able to achieve my goal. In 2025, I enrolled in Shivam Rajput Sir’s course, especially for Oceanography and Climatology. I started studying from his PDFs and PPTs and regularly watched his YouTube lectures to strengthen my conceptual understanding. And believe me, his course genuinely made a difference in my preparation. The concepts became much clearer, and I gained more confidence in solving questions. His study material and teaching approach helped me strengthen two subjects that were very important for my preparation. Today, after seeing my performance according to the answer key, I scored 157.68 marks in CSIR-NET. This moment is extremely special for me because it represents years of hard work, patience, failures, and continuous improvement. I want to thank Shivam Rajput Sir from the bottom of my heart for his guidance, study material, and for making difficult concepts easier to understand. 🙏 All the very best to every CSIR-NET aspirant! Reality check on this: cutoff isn't a fixed function of difficulty — it moves with how many candidates appear, how many vacancies open that cycle, and normalization. Earth Science has the lowest turnout of the five NET subjects (~8,000 registrations)

My expected range for June 2026 JRF: UR 56–60%, EWS 50–54%, OBC 48–52%, SC 40–44%, ST 38–42%, PwD 25–26%. Category-2 (Lectureship/Assistant Professor) — averaging June24/June25/Dec25: UR ≈ 52–55%, EWS ≈ 46–49%, OBC ≈ 44–48%, SC ≈ 36–40%, ST ≈ 34–39%, PwD flat at 25%. Category-3 (PhD only) — only June25/Dec25 data available (this category's tracked separately only recently): UR ≈ 43–45%, EWS ≈ 34–36%, OBC ≈ 35–37%, SC ≈ 30–31%, ST ≈ 29%, PwD flat at 25%.
