Hi everyone Phil just gave a general update in the Discord channel! Hi everyone, Phil here with a quick update from Energy Web. Over the past few weeks we've been making good progress across a number of initiatives. On the SAFc side, we're continuing to onboard new enterprise participants. With more than 40 organizations now involved and strong interest from the broader market, we're excited about the momentum we're seeing. As adoption continues to grow, retirements and OCR-related activity are scaling as well, and we expect that momentum to continue in the coming months. We're also back on track with our Green Proofs solution. The team is actively exploring the best direction for the product and how it should evolve to deliver the greatest value moving forward. We've deepened our partnership with Harvestt and the Sustainable Bitcoin Protocol (SBP), continuing to build trusted infrastructure for sustainable Bitcoin mining and further connecting clean energy with institutional digital asset adoption. As our products mature and enterprise adoption grows, our objective remains the same: building solutions that directly contribute to sustainable on-chain revenue across the Energy Web ecosystem. Next week I'll be meeting with Ed to discuss strategy, operations, and our priorities for the months ahead. I know there are a number of questions waiting in the Discord Q&A channel, and we'll be working through them together over the coming weeks to provide as much clarity as possible. Energy Web in the EU: SINNOGENES SINNOGENES (Storage INNOvations for Green ENErgy Systems) is an EU-funded project focused on advancing energy storage across multiple sectors, from grid frequency response to long-term seasonal storage. The project is being demonstrated across six pilot sites in Portugal, Spain, Germany and Greece. Energy Web is leading the project's IT architecture and data interoperability work, ensuring secure, encrypted data exchange, GDPR-compliant privacy, and seamless integration between storage systems. We're also evaluating storage management tools using real-world data from transport and island energy system pilots. 📢 Launchpad infrastructure update Hi everyone, Just a quick heads-up about an upcoming change to the Launchpad infrastructure. As part of our next phase, the Launchpad platform is being wound down for the time being. Its functionality will be incorporated into a new Verified Compute Cloud interface as part of an upcoming product launch. We'll share more details on that soon. As part of this transition, we're also retiring the cloud-hosted Worker Node Server (WNS) instances on 31 July 2026. If you're currently using one of these hosted worker nodes, you'll need to migrate it before then to avoid any interruption to your operator and rewards. You have two options: Run the Worker Node Server on your own cloud or on-premise infrastructure, or Switch to the lightweight VCC Runtime, which can run on a desktop, laptop, or mini PC. If you're affected by this change, you'll receive an email from us with the migration steps and links to the documentation. 📢 On-Chain Revenue Rewards Update Hi everyone, This month’s on-chain revenue rewards are lower than last month’s. During the previous reward period, a bug caused rewards to be distributed at a higher level than intended. Rather than attempting to recover those excess rewards from participants, we’ve adjusted the reward distribution to account for that overpayment. It’s also important to reiterate that on-chain revenue rewards are derived from a two-sided market. On one side is the demand for verification services and the fees paid for those services; on the other side is the willingness of participants to hold and stake tokens in exchange for those rewards. As communicated from the outset, verification fees are market-driven and volatile over time. They are not fixed or guaranteed by the protocol. Reward distributions will therefore always reflect the underlying economics of the network. As verification demand, fee levels, and staking participation evolve, rewards may increase or decrease accordingly. As a reminder, the protocol is still in Alpha. During this phase, we continue to work with rule makers to digitize their rules, enabling VCC providers to verify their data against those digitized rules through the Verified Compute Cloud (VCC). As additional verification use cases come online, the market for verification services will continue to develop. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
