A Reminder about 12 August 2026 It is one of the most inauspicious days for the next 6 months ... and is a No Manifesting Day Iverson Lee's post [Facebook] highlights the ancient origins: In ancient China, a solar eclipse was more than a celestial event. Legend tells of the Heavenly Dog (天狗) swallowing the Sun, prompting people to beat drums and strike gongs to drive it away and restore harmony between Heaven and Earth. But beyond the legend lies another perspective, Chinese Metaphysics. There is also an interesting connection to BaZi. In BaZi, Bing Fire (丙火) is often compared to the Sun: radiant, illuminating, warm, and one of the strongest expressions of Yang energy. During a solar eclipse, that brilliant Yang light is temporarily obscured and darkness takes its place. This represents Yang retreating while Yin becomes dominant. That is why a solar eclipse is regarded as carrying strong Yin energy, a period when the normal balance of light and darkness is dramatically reversed. This creates volatile energy and a lower energetic state, making solar eclipses unsuitable for manifestation. Rather than trying to activate or force intentions forward, it is better to remain still and allow the energy to pass - in other words - carry on with whatever you would do for a normal day - whatever this may be for you. Watch Netflix, read a book, sleep ... but do not meditate or manifest on this day. A Quick Overview of the 丙申 Bing Shen [Fire Monkey] month which begins on 7 August 2026 during the 壬戌 Dog Hour @ 19h00-20h59 [use the infographic only as illustration] Tension between Fire and Metal Hour Pillar: Ren Xu [Yang Water Dog] [19h00-20h59] Day Pillar: Gui Chou [Yin Water Ox] Month Pillar: Bing Shen [Yang Fire Monkey] Year Pillar: Bing Wu [Yang Fire Horse] • August marks the midpoint of the 丙午 Bing Wu [Fire Horse] year. • It is the start of the Metal cycle in the Chinese Metaphysics calendar. Let’s look at what the month asks, what to observe, what to avoid, and how to use the month a bit more consciously. [Individual charts have different layers - do not base any major decisions on general insights only] Core Theme of the 丙申 Bing Shen Month The month carries 丙 Yang Fire above 申Monkey [Yang Metal]. At first glance this may look like the arrival of Metal after months of Wood and Fire, but the chart still contains a great deal of Fire - some seen and some being pulled in and hidden from plain sight. The year chart and the monthly influence both carry the 丙 Bing [Yang Fire] which can feel like there are many Suns shining at the same time. This can feel intense because we only like to have one Sun in our universe! With this much Fire in the chart, it can bring a lot of visibility, exposure, competition, emotional heat, aggressiveness, pressure, and a sense that situations are being pushed to the surface. The Metal element also introduces qualities like discipline, structure, rules, sorting, and the need to decide what remains useful and what must be changed. The Sun [Bing Fire] exposes. The Metal judges, cuts, organizes and refines. August and September - both strong metal months - are therefore not going to be quiet or peaceful months. August is a month where matters that have been building since the earlier part of the year can become clearer. What could previously be tolerated may now require a clear direction and a clear decision. Be very careful in relationship matters this month. Part 2: The Peach Blossom Many people think that Peach Blossom is just about romance. In Chinese Metaphysics, it also represents visibility, attraction, social appeal and the ability to draw people towards you. In a business context, these qualities may support visibility, networking and public facing work. Before people can become your clients, they must first notice you, feel comfortable with you and understand the value you offer. Share your knowledge, improve how you present yourself, communicate clearly and allow people to see the person behind the service. Peach Blossom may attract attention, but trust, credibility and consistent action are what turn that attention into clients. Find your Personal Peach Blossom Sector: First identify your personal Peach Blossom branch from the Earthly Branch of the Year Pillar: Branch group - Peach Blossom For Monkey, Rat, Dragon:- Rooster [West 2] For Tiger, Horse, Dog:- Rabbit [East 2] For Pig, Rabbit, Goat:- Rat [North 2] For Snake, Rooster, Ox:- Horse [South 2] These are the middle 15-degree sectors of the cardinal directions: East 2: 82.5° to 97.5° South 2: 172.5° to 187.5° West 2: 262.5° to 277.5° North 2: 352.5° to 7.5° Locate that branch’s compass sector in the home or workplace. 🤒Because a sector may carry unfavorable annual or monthly energies, it should not automatically be activated. 💙For this exercise, simply keep the area clean, uncluttered and usable. Part 1 This morning whilst I was watering my garden, I stood in gratitude and wonderment at the multitude of blossoms on my Peach tree. Here's a picture of our tree - showing off her beautiful Peach blossoms (the tree is planted in a very deep pot) and this is a full 2 weeks after we composted and fed it. The Peach Blossom is beautiful by itself ... and therefore the helpful little pollinating bees find it attractive!
