Another major piece of FIP.16 is live. Today's hard fork raises the base gas fee to 500 gwei (from 25). Every transaction now burns more FLR, and validator capacity rises to 300M FLR. What's next: - FDC request fees begin flowing to FIRE: 90% direct, 10% distributed alongside inflation. - Vote power recalculates, with P-chain stake weighted 5× delegation. Stake placed now is already counted when the new calculation goes live.

Kweather and Flare are collaborating on a pilot bringing weather data on-chain. One of South Korea's leading weather big-data platforms plans to record meteorological data through Flare's oracle infrastructure, with verifiable records from the point of recording, and built for climate finance. link to article
