At just 12 years old, Rebecca Young from Glasgow, Scotland, turned compassion into an innovation that could help protect people experiencing homelessness during freezing winter nights. After learning that many people were forced to sleep outdoors in sub-zero temperatures, Rebecca designed a portable, solar-powered heated blanket that could provide warmth throughout the night without needing access to electricity. A student at Kelvinside Academy, she entered her idea into the UK's national Primary Engineer competition, where it was selected as the winner from more than 70,000 entries. Her concept attracted the attention of engineering company Thales UK, whose engineers worked with her to develop functional prototypes. The blanket is designed to be waterproof, flame-resistant, and lightweight enough to fold into a backpack. Flexible solar panels charge a rechargeable battery during the day, providing up to eight hours of heat at night. A built-in temperature control system helps regulate warmth while conserving battery power. Following the successful prototype, the project expanded to produce blankets for distribution through charities supporting people experiencing homelessness in Glasgow. Rebecca's invention demonstrates how empathy, creativity, and engineering can come together to address real-world challenges—showing that meaningful ideas can come from any age.

📚🇨🇳 China Reinforces Education as a Public Service, Not a Business China has continued its efforts to reduce the commercialization of compulsory education by enforcing policies that prevent profit-making in schools serving children in the nine-year compulsory education system (roughly ages 6 to 15). Under regulations introduced in recent years, private schools providing compulsory education must operate as non-profit institutions, and investors are not allowed to profit from basic schooling. The reforms are part of Beijing's broader education policy, which aims to reduce financial pressure on families and ensure that compulsory education remains focused on public welfare rather than commercial gain. 📖🏫 The Chinese government says these measures are designed to make education more affordable, fair, and accessible for every child. Officials believe that compulsory education should not become a business where companies earn large profits from parents. Alongside these reforms, China also introduced the well-known "Double Reduction" policy, which restricted for-profit tutoring in core school subjects in an effort to reduce excessive academic pressure on students and lower education costs for families. 👨👩👧👦📚 Supporters of the policy argue that it helps reduce inequality by preventing excessive commercialization of education. They believe children should have equal opportunities to learn regardless of their family's income and that schools should focus on education rather than generating profits. Critics, however, say the restrictions have affected private education businesses, reduced employment in the tutoring sector, and may limit educational choices for some parents. Despite the crackdown, reports indicate that parts of China's tutoring industry have gradually re-emerged under revised regulations. 🌍⚖️ China's education reforms continue to attract attention around the world because they reflect a different approach to balancing public education, private investment, and social welfare. While countries adopt different education models based on their own needs and laws, China's policies have reignited a global discussion about whether basic education should primarily be a public service or a profit-driven industry. The debate continues, but one goal shared by many governments is ensuring that every child has access to quality education without unnecessary financial burdens on families. 🇨🇳✨
“They will behave like wild donkeys.” — Sahih Muslim No. 2940 This hadith describes the moral condition of the people who remain on earth just before the Day of Judgment. The Prophet ﷺ is not saying that people will literally become donkeys. Rather, he uses a comparison to describe their behavior. Like wild animals driven only by instinct, they will live without faith, modesty, or moral restraint. They will follow their desires openly, caring neither for Allah nor for right and wrong. This is a warning about what happens when people abandon guidance from Allah. Islam teaches that true honor comes through faith, self-control, and righteous character—not by following every desire. May Allah protect our hearts, strengthen our faith, and grant us noble character until our final breath.
🌲 The Woman Who Lived in a Tree In December 1997, 23-year-old Julia Butterfly Hill climbed nearly 200 feet into the canopy of an ancient coast redwood tree in Northern California and stayed there for an incredible 738 consecutive days. The tree, estimated to be over 1,000 years old, was named "Luna" by Julia. She climbed the tree to stop it from being cut down by a logging company and ended up becoming one of the world's most famous environmental activists. Living on a tiny platform no larger than a small mattress, Julia survived powerful El Niño storms, freezing rain, strong winds, isolation, and constant uncertainty. She relied on a solar-powered phone to speak with supporters and journalists, while food and other supplies were pulled up to her by rope. After more than two years, on December 18, 1999, an agreement was reached. Environmental groups raised $50,000, and the logging company agreed to protect Luna along with a surrounding buffer zone of forest. Julia later said that a near-fatal car accident had changed her outlook on life and inspired her to dedicate herself to something meaningful. Her extraordinary act of determination helped draw worldwide attention to the protection of old-growth forests. More than two decades later, Luna is still standing as a symbol of courage, persistence, and environmental conservation. 📍Source: • Julia Butterfly Hill – *The Legacy of Luna* (Book) • Julia Butterfly Hill Official Website • Save the Redwoods League • Wikipedia – Julia Butterfly Hill
You made sincere tawbah. But how should a believer think about whether Allah accepted it? Allah alone knows whose repentance has been accepted. That is why a believer lives between hope in Allah’s mercy and fear of falling short. Instead of looking for guaranteed “signs,” Islam teaches us to continue turning back to Allah with sincerity. Here are authentic principles from the Qur’an and Sunnah: 1. ALLAH PROMISES TO ACCEPT SINCERE REPENTANCE. Allah says: “And He is the One who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons sins.” (Qur’an 42:25) No matter how many times you have fallen, never despair of Allah’s mercy. 2. NEVER LOSE HOPE IN ALLAH’S MERCY. Allah says: “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.” (Qur’an 39:53) Despair is from Shaytan. Hope is from faith. 3. TRUE TAWBAH HAS CONDITIONS. A sincere repentance includes: • Leaving the sin. • Feeling genuine regret. • Resolving not to return to it. • Restoring the rights of others if they were wronged. These are the conditions explained by the scholars based on the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah. 4. KEEP DOING GOOD DEEDS. Allah says: “Indeed, good deeds remove bad deeds.” (Qur’an 11:114) After tawbah, increase your salah, dhikr, charity, and acts of kindness. 5. IF YOU FALL AGAIN, REPENT AGAIN. The Prophet ﷺ taught that Allah continues to accept the repentance of His servant as long as the servant sincerely returns to Him. Do not let repeated mistakes make you give up. 6. ALLAH LOVES THOSE WHO REPENT. Allah says: “Indeed, Allah loves those who constantly repent and loves those who purify themselves.” (Qur’an 2:222) Repentance is not a sign of weakness, it is beloved to Allah. 7. THE BEST RESPONSE AFTER TAWBAH IS TO REMAIN STEADFAST. Do not become obsessed with asking, “Was my repentance accepted?” Instead, continue obeying Allah, avoid the sin, and keep asking Him to accept your deeds. A believer’s hope is in Allah’s promise, not in feelings. May Allah accept our tawbah, forgive our sins, purify our hearts, and keep us steadfast until we meet Him. Āmīn.

Little Gaza Girl's Gift to Spain's PM... His Reply Touched Hearts In the middle of Gaza's devastation, a young Palestinian girl named Layan stood beside a mural that would soon capture international attention. The artwork, painted by local artists, honored Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. When Sánchez saw the tribute, he shared an emotional video message, calling it "a beautiful gesture" and saying he was deeply moved that, despite the immense suffering in Gaza, the Palestinian people had taken a moment to express their affection for Spain. Speaking directly to Gaza's children and their families, he said: "The whole of Spanish society hears you, sees you, loves you, and does not forget you." He also expressed hope that Gaza's children would soon return to school without fear, paint freely again, and live in peace. Sánchez ended his message by sending "an enormous hug from Spain" to every child and family in Gaza.
According to an authentic hadith, Allah created Prophet Adam with a height of sixty cubits. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah created Adam, making him sixty cubits tall." (Sahih al-Bukhari 3326, Sahih Muslim 2841). This comparison is simply a visual representation to help imagine the immense stature of Prophet Adam in relation to some of the largest creatures known to us. The exact appearance and many details remain part of the unseen, known only to Allah. As Muslims, we believe what has been authentically reported by Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, even when it is beyond our everyday experience. The purpose of this comparison is not to make scientific claims about humans and dinosaurs living together, but to reflect on the greatness of Allah's creation and the remarkable beginning of mankind. Indeed, Allah is capable of all things.
🎓🏅 He didn’t just graduate—he carried his entire journey on his shoulders. Most graduates carried a diploma. He carried more than 70 marathon medals. When 24-year-old Jin Yanwei walked across the graduation stage, the medals draped over his shoulders weren't just awards—they were the reason he made it there. While studying at Xi'an Traffic Engineering Institute, Jin began running marathons in 2021. He trained around 15 kilometres every day, sometimes running 400 kilometres in a single month. But he wasn't chasing records. He was chasing a better future. Instead of asking his parents for more support, Jin used the prize money from marathon races to help pay his living expenses and ease the financial burden on his family while completing his degree. Over his final two years at university, he ran an incredible 7,835 kilometres. On graduation day, he carried every medal on a traditional shoulder pole—a powerful reminder that each race represented another step toward achieving his dream. Some people graduate with a degree. Jin graduated with proof that hard work, sacrifice, and determination can carry you further than you ever imagined. ❤️
