Nowhere in it do his lawyers argue: • That Robinson is innocent • That there was another shooter • That Charlie wasn't shot • That the microphone exploded • That the rooftop guy wasn't involved • That the recovered .30-06 was never fired • That the confession messages are fake Instead, Robinson's own lawyers write that his messages to his roommate and partner "indicate Mr. Robinson's intention to kill Charlie Kirk." They quote him: "I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I took it." Their primary ask is to strike the sole aggravating factor — that Robinson knowingly created a great risk of death to a person other than Charlie. Without it, the death penalty comes off the table. 26/33 pages is spent on that single point. The final pages argue that Robinson telling his boyfriend to "ask for a lawyer and stay silent" wasn’t obstruction, and that Robinson couldn’t have known children were present in the crowd. So after Candace and a dozen YouTubers spent 10 months making millions of dollars spreading lies about this case, Robinson's own defense team is in court arguing the bullet "travelled above, not through, the crowd" — so he shouldn’t face the death penalty.
