I’m sharing a project I’ve initiated recently during my district training. Hope it gives some insight into bringing together stakeholders to solve problems on ground: In Nizamabad district of Telangana, we have created PositiWeave, a clothing brand run entirely by the rural and HIV affected women. We have received funding from LBSNAA, and support from NGO - WORD, and the District Administration, The group specialises in crafting GI tagged - Ikat apparel for women and children. We intend to break various stereotypes of women from rural areas, poverty and HIV affected, and enable them to compete with premium brands and create quality products from their own homes. PositiWeave - meaning positive for representing HIV infected women, optimism and Weave for representing the relationship between the women and building community. For more info: https://www.instagram.com/positiweave To support, order directly from WhatsApp store: 7670971978

LAST OF THE NOTES AND MAPS I am sharing the last of my notes I had prepared during my Prelims preparation. For history, I have created a summary of the NCERTs in Q&A format. It has helped me to quickly revise NCERTs in a couple of hours at max. Avadh Singhal’s (IAS 2020) website ha such summaries in a more rigorous manner. They have helped me for quick revision. Link: https://avadhsinghal.wordpress.com/general-studies/ I am also sharing some maps that I had created for Geography. There are much better ones created by others, but the best way is to put in the work ourselves and create one’s own maps.

TIME MANAGEMENT The only way to manage time in one’s preparation is to be diligent and disciplined. For the same, I used to track the time I spent on the table studying. Based on different phases of the exam, the time spent in studying needs to change. I used to track the time on the Forest app, and one can do it in many ways like Excel using a stopwatch, or any other app. Kindly notice that the only time I tracked was the time I was focusing, the actual time spent will be longer than this. Tracking unproductive and idle times gives a false sense of completion. Therefore, track the time that you actually study and try to reach your own daily target. Note: The data I have shared is related to my preparation. It is neither a target to be achieved nor a prescription. Kindly design your own time management strategy and make use of digital tools for the same. The number of hours during my preparation is on the higher side because of the rigorous and intensive nature of my optional- mathematics.
BUDGET 2024 For aspirants appearing for PT/ otherwise, I’d suggest you read a copy of the MINT newspaper tomorrow as they present a succinct graphical and point-wise summary of the outcomes of the budget released today. Points to ponder: 1. What are the actual figures of the budget, roughly? 2. What are the major and new initiatives announced? Note down the initiatives directed towards health, education, women, youth, tax payers, etc. 3. How is the expenditure and revenue projected ? - see their components roughly. 4. How is the current budget different from last year’s? Is it good or not sufficient ?
