of course, WHY does it work? because subversion is much like an insidious poison that seeps into already existing cracks of trust and loyalty, between nation, state and people. it thrives in areas where there exists an erosion of trust in the conduct of the public authorities. it seeps into the binds that strengthen people, and as water breaks a rock apart, it tries to break people apart. the only way to combat it, is to heal those cracks and if not, let discontent be voiced and addressed, lest it be directed into violent endeavors (keyword directed).
