In this case, Instagram tracked any AI-related information hidden in the metadata of Canva exports. According to the organisers, Canva's "background remover" tool was used to remove the white background of Ren Faire's logo. As AI is evolving rapidly and is increasingly integrated into devices & software, the "AI info" label may lead to wrongful conclusions. Artists, creatives & photographers have been struggling against the label since its implementation in 2024. There are no definite methods to combat it other than trial and error, e.g. reuploading from a screenshot or re-exporting from another software and hoping it is not labelled "AI".
