For the past decade, our country has allowed roughly 1 million *legal* permanent immigrants into the United States every year. That is more than 10 million people in the past decade alone. Over the last 60 years, the cumulative number of legal immigrants admitted exceeds 40 million. These figures do not include the tens of millions of illegal aliens who have been permitted to cross our borders with little pushback—and deadly consequences. No nation can absorb this volume of foreign-born population indefinitely without fundamentally changing its character, its culture, and its capacity to govern itself. I am running for Congress because too many in Washington have abandoned their duty to the American people. They have prioritized foreigners and special interests over the security and sovereignty of this country. I make these commitments to you: • I will never support any amnesty bill.
