Hello every fur! The summer heat is starting to swing, so in an effort to beat the heat, we are hosting a swimming meet! Date: August 1st Time: 11am Location: 135 Cypress Park Dr., Benton, LA 71006 We will be going to cypress black bayou recreation area to cool off from this summertime heat! We will not be renting out a pavilion, this will be a more relaxed approach to the regular meets. There is a small zoo at cypress that is free after paying the $5 entry fee to the park. Schedule: 11 AM - meet and greet 12 PM - walk the zoo, then go swimming! 4-ish PM - visit a local restaurant People are free to come and go as they please and do not have to participate in the meal. I will be providing sunscreen and a few water toys for the group. Want to bring something? That's very kind! Here's a list of useful items that everyone would love: Water Gatorade/Powerade or other hydration drinks Pool floats/water toys (the more, the merrier, right? Host: @ArtsyGoat For my first leatherworking class event we will be doing dice bags! The picture of the dice bag on the flyer is just an example I made using one of the kit options (Option 1 when you sign up), just to give you an idea of what you could do. Since I have not organized one of these before I'm capping this class at 12 people. However, if you sign up and the spots have already been filled I will let you know and you have the option of being on standby in case someone cancels or can't make it. Also, due to the nature of this event there won't be any suiting. I'd hate for y'all to get dyes on your suits! I have the cut-off date for signing-up Friday, June 12th, to give time to make sure we have all the supplies in store in time for the event. The fee for reserving your spot is $7.00, this helps pay for the pizza and drinks that will be provided. After you sign up I will reach out to collect the reservation fee. I have provided 6 different kit options in the sign up form and included how much each kit will cost (before tax and not including other things you may want to purchase). There will also be a $1-5 dollar class fee. There will be a few forms to fill out when you get there; one for using the workspace and the other is a photo release form (so Tandy has permission to use your photo from the class for their social media and newsletters). If you have any questions or concerns, please, reach out to me and I will do my best to answer them. I want this to be fun for everyone who participates and I don't want there to be any confusion. It will be hosted on May 17th at 1pm and will last for 2 hours. We decided on Fluid Art so that’s what we will be doing! Prices are as follows; Small Canvas; $25 Medium Canvas; $40 Large Canvas; $55 XL Canvas; $70 Another option will be figurines, the prices are as follows; Medium Figurine; $30 Large Figurine; $45 I was told there will be charcuterie boards and also other wooden cutouts if you don’t want to do a canvas or figurine.
