ᡋᠠᡎ᠋ᠱᡅ ᡕᡅᠨ ᠴᠠᡏ | ᡏᡅᡊᡏᠠᠷ ᡏᠠᠨᠴᡅ ph.by: menilph The photo session was dedicated to the historical reconstruction of the authentic vestments of the Oirat-Kalmyk novice of the Buddhist monasteries of the pre-revolutionary period. The aim of the project was to visually and carefully visualize this almost forgotten cultural element, which is not just a garment, but also a symbol of the spiritual path, humility and the connection of generations. Each element of the costume - the spacious huvcn, belt, and headdress - was recreated based on archival data and expert advice. We did not strive for theatricality, but for authenticity and a sense of authenticity, so that the viewer's gaze could turn to the essence: to the image of a young man standing on the threshold of spiritual service. Special thanks to the Trinity Khurul "Orgyen Sanngak Choling" for the blessing and permission to conduct filming inside the monastery.
