Did a DRAGON attack a train in California in 1882? * * * * * In the late afternoon of January 17, 1882, a Southern Pacific Railroad express train traveling from Yuma, Arizona to Los Angeles, California experienced a bizarre encounter near Dos Palms, a well-known desert spring in the Colorado Desert. Description of the Event: According to the testimonies of the engineer, fireman, and multiple passengers, the train was moving at high speed when the travelers noticed what at first appeared to be a column of sand slowly drifting westward. It soon became clear that this was no natural phenomenon, but a living creature: a HUGE, SERPENTINE BEAST with a PAIR of LARGE WINGS near its head. The creature was estimated to be about 30 feet (9 meters) in length. As it reached the railroad tracks, the train struck the creature’s tail, severing a portion of it. The wounded creature reacted instantly: it took flight and began chasing the train, reportedly faster than “a chain of lightning,” as witnesses described. Within moments, it flew over the locomotive and launched an attack: windows were shattered, loud growls were heard, and panic spread among the passengers. When the winged serpent finally veered away, several passengers fired revolvers at it, but to no effect. This incident was reported in newspapers of the time, including the Los Angeles Times, noting that the testimonies were consistent and “confirmed by all those aboard the train.” The Dos Palms incident is not an isolated case. Skull Rock , Cleft Island, VIC, Australia 🇦🇺 Certains des sites les plus impressionnants d'Australie se cachent en réalité au large dans l'océan plutôt que sur un rivage. Bien que le nom officiel de l'île soit Cleft Island, elle est plus communément connue sous le nom de Skull Rock ou Skull Cave.
