Let us explain. Two limited-edition meme tokens have been created specifically for the Arena and are pooled with MDAO, meaning they are traded exclusively in pairs with MDAO, regardless of which token you’re buying. This increases trading volume for all tokens. Now, let’s take a closer look at how the Arena works. Two meme tokens battle every 8 hours; the winner is the one with more MDAO in its pool. This means whichever meme token was bought more of in that round. If your token wins, you simply sell it as it rises in value, or wait for even higher prices. If your token loses, you don’t lose anything: you still hold the tokens, so you can sell them back, wait for its winning round, or hold onto them for higher prices. You don’t lose your MDAO either; it’s in the liquidity pool, so you can exchange all your memes back. What drives the growth of meme tokens? Every transaction on the Arena is subject to a 5% fee. This fee forms the treasury for each fighter (meme token). At the end of the round, the fighter’s treasury is distributed as follows. It’s important to clarify that the treasury is not your wallet; everything remains in your possession. For the winner: 99% is burned from the treasury, thereby reducing the number of tokens circulating in the market (less tokens, higher demand). You do not lose your tokens in your wallet. For the loser: tokens from the vault are automatically sold for MDAO and used to buy the winner’s tokens (driving up the price of the winner’s tokens). Rounds take place several times a day. Consequently, a different meme token can be the winner in each round. Anticipating the question: what’s in it for the holder of the losing token? Here’s the answer. The benefit is understanding the mechanics and not dumping your memes immediately after a battle. Wait for a round where your token wins and sell it, as an option. The Arena is part of the MDAO economy; it allows you to profit from the growth of a meme token and increase your MDAO holdings due to the deflation of the entire Arena structure. Let’s address the next question about fees right away. Each transaction includes a 5% battle fee, which goes into the treasury.
