Good morning from the Verdant Kingdom. Earlier this week we strained our Borage and Comfrey compost tea. For zero cost (besides the packet of seeds) we made a fertilizer rich in potassium, nitrogen, phosphorus, and calcium. We have already seen a dramatic upswing in the vitality of the plants we fertilized yesterday. This is the perfect cocktail for fruiting and flowering plants. We're calling this a win! Have you tried it?

Good morning from The Verdant Kingdom. Yesterday we were quite busy around the home and garden. We harvested yet another batch of tomatoes while processing the last harvest. Then, Viktor used the coffee grinder to make a powder out of the dried tomato skins we've been collecting. We added some basil, chives, and parsley from the garden for good measure. Then, we added the new seasoning to a batch of sourdough discard crackers. THEN, after the boy went to sleep, I processed some of the pawpaws we foraged and made some cream cheese pawpaw muffins for the fellas.

Good Morning, from The Verdant Kingdom. Our first foray into tomato paste making was a success. What shall we make?
Good evening from The Verdant Kingdom. Thank you for your orders Sweden, Greece, Canada, France, and US!
Good morning from The Verdant Kingdom. Hand printed patches in the vein of myth, lore, and herb cunning are available now via our website. Each piece is hand-printed from a hand-carved block onto fabric, then individually hemmed on a sewing machine to prevent the edges from fraying. Because every print is created by hand, no two are exactly alike—each has its own subtle variations and unique character. Click here to shop
-We are in the studios recording the 8th PESTE NOIRE ALBUM. Could you tell us what is the album about? -"The concept of the album came to me after i realized that there is a kind of contradiction in Pèste Noire. The contradiction that anarchist aspects are mixed with fascist aspects. There are things in fascism i love others i hate. And viceversa with anarchism. I took everything i like in facism and everything i like in anarchism. and as long as it didnt contradict itself i mixed it all up to create the new album. To be more specific: I hate for example the fact that the state controls every aspect of society such as art and thats what fascist states do. But on the other hand we need a strong state in order to make fat people run. And beyond this, the idea of the album came by watching farmers and realizing that they also have this contradiction between a strong anarchistic mentality, and a mentality i wouldn't say fascist but i'd say conservative and, to say it vaguely, Traditionalist. Farmers, i mean small farmers, not big industrial farmers. Are the people that got as close as possible to true anarchism for many reasons. First because they are as close as possible to being self-sufficient in terms of food because they grow food. Most farmers are hunters so they are armed and ready to defend a village. They developed local economy and mutual aid. Everything that city-based left wing guys dream of doing, racist peasants did. They hate that the authorityes come and check on their bussinness like true anarchists. But at the same time, i invite you to sharte a few drinks with them and after three or four glasses, you'll soon hear some politically incorrect things. Farmers are strongly nationalists. They have a very strong bonde with their lands and they greatly value the idea of private property. Thats why Stalin had such a hard time with the farmers in Russia, because farmers were strongly oppossed to farming lands collectivism. That's why Stalin had them deported to gulags, Thats what we call "dekulakization"(nde. Soviet campaign of political repression against the peasants or kulaks and their families, which, between their arrests, deportations and executions, ended up very seriously affecting millions of people in the period 1929-1932). Just for the record, at the same time, the naughty nazis passed laws to protect farmers, making sure that it was impossible to evict a farmer even if he had debts of was facing bankruptcy, it was forbidden to seize their farm". Famine Official interview with Famine for the launch of his excellent album “Le retour des Pastoureaux” in 2021. We thought it was important to include this interview, which is available to the entire public through video format directly form the band. Since it is really educational. Very interesting answers that we wanted to share for Spanish speakers in ULTRABLACKMETAL FANZINE. From an individual truly formed through action and independent research.

Good morning from The Verdant Kingdom. These are block prints depicting artwork from Harald Haarfagres saga or Saga of Harald the Fair-haired. This illustration is of Odin. He is portrayed as the divine patriarch and ancestor of the Yngling dynasty, from which Harald descended. The Ynglinga saga, also a part of the Heimskringla, traces Harald Fairhair’s lineage back through the Swedish kings to Odin. He is portrayed as a powerful chieftain from Asaland who brought magic and the runes to Scandinavia. Odin serves as the spiritual justification for Harald’s conquest and dominion, representing the pagan warrior's code of honor. This is the quintessential image of the Alföðr. It depicts Odin riding his 8 legged steed Sleipnir, the fastest horse in the Nine Realms. In his hand is Gungnir and above him fly Huginn (thought) and Muninn (memory/mind). The original image is from the 1899 edition of The Heimskringla. The original was done in pen on paper by Gerhard Munthe. It is reproduced here in slight variation as a linocut printed on cloth in oil ink and blood red paint. These patches are 100% handmade- from carving the block to finishing patches. Each patch measures approximately 5x4" We will be announcing the availability of these as well as some others in the series as soon as production nears completion. There will only be 9 of this design available. More information forthcoming.

Good afternoon from The Verdant Kingdom. Our first tomato harvest. We have blanched, peeled, and will be freezing these first ones. We're also going to dry the skins and use them in a sourdough discard recipe- tomato basil crackers!
