Something I wrote this morning while thinking about the ways folks have compared themselves to what I do, or the times I have compared myself to what others are doing. In a well adjusted society there’s no “retirement.” When people a few generations back grew too old for hard labor they spent their days with grandchildren, gardening, cooking, telling stories etc. They weren’t off enjoying being finally "childless" or put into a retirement home, they were still valuable family members. 🤍

NEW - University of Michigan will stop issuing real letter grades to "curb the mental health crisis unfolding among college-aged individuals." Letter grades will still be tracked internally for compliance and academic honors, but they will not appear on transcripts or count toward grade-point averages.
