To improve your listening, you have to watch TV series. You shouldn’t rely on movies, cartoons, random English content, or bloggers. Why? First of all, TV series contain a huge number of conversations. The more conversations you listen to, the better your comprehension becomes and the stronger your listening skills will be. When it comes to movies or other English content, you often hear fewer conversations because the focus is more on action and visuals. That’s why you need to expose yourself to a lot of natural conversations between people if you genuinely want to improve your listening comprehension. Reading is equally important. You need to read as much as possible and maximize the amount of time you spend reading. The more you read, the more vocabulary and grammatical structures you will acquire. And remember: the number of hours matters. If you read just one or two chapters a day, honestly, that probably isn’t going to be enough. You need consistency and volume.
