📣 The Nimiq v2.0.0 hard fork has activated The network is now running under the upgraded consensus rules, and the public v2.0.0 release is out. Node operators: update your client to keep following the upgraded chain. Nodes still on the previous version will fall out of consensus. 🚀 Nimiq v2.0.0 hard fork update Validators representing 80% of stake are ready ✅ The hard fork is expected for the next election block, in ~2 hours (around 18:20 UTC). There's a chance activation lands on a later election block instead, and we'll keep you posted here as it develops. We strongly advise all remaining validators to take part in the process. Validators that continue running the previous blockchain version will no longer remain active after the hard fork. For all other node operators: please stand by. We’ll share the new client version and upgrade instructions as soon as the hard fork is active. Thanks for your support.

Important Announcement 📢 CoinEx has announced they will be delisting NIM. Trading and deposits were disabled on 5 August. If you still hold NIM on CoinEx, make sure you withdraw it at your earliest convenience. Withdrawals stay open until 5 November 2026, 08:00 UTC.

Hi Nimiq community! The Nimiq network is upgrading: the v2.0.0 hard fork is on the way. It rolls out in two phases. Validators signal from August 10, and once 80% of the total stake has committed, the fork activates. Node operators update after that. Update: the OpenGSN relay is back up. Sending USDC and USDT is working normally again in both the Nimiq Wallet and Nimiq Pay.

Heads up: the OpenGSN relay is currently down, which affects sending USDC and USDT in the Nimiq Wallet and USDT in Nimiq Pay. Receiving is unaffected. Our team is on it, and we'll post an update as soon as it's resolved.

Community Update: With this post, we sadly have to inform you that the Virtual NAKA Card feature in Nimiq Pay has to be discontinued immediately. NAKA has decided to shut down NAKA Card operations after several years of working through complex and evolving legal requirements that no longer align with how NAKA wants to operate this product. While this is not the outcome we hoped for, we respect NAKA's decision and are grateful for the opportunity to bring this payment experience to Nimiq users. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Nimiq Core v1.7.0 is live. This is a critical update for node operators, especially due to changes to the ZKP sync mechanism. If you run a node, especially a validator, please update to v1.7.0 as soon as possible. This release also includes important security hardening fixes. Release notes

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: We are planning to reset the Nimiq testnet tomorrow 🔧 We have been running a node that has been constantly sending test transactions, and the transaction history has grown substantially, so we're resetting the testnet for a fresh start. What it means for you: after the reset, everything will roll back to the genesis state, meaning testnet balances can go to zero, and transaction history will be cleared. For most, that's 0 testNIM (or whatever you held at the genesis block). You can grab fresh testNIM from the faucet to continue testing 🤓 This also applies to Mini App Competition builders. We will announce once the testnet reset is complete, so you can refund from the faucet and keep on building 💪
