#task1 #writing #classwork The table shows how many cinemas existed in four areas in one European country in 2004 and 2009. Overall, the number of cinemas in city centers and in their vicinity saw increases of varying degrees, with the figure for movie theaters near city centers witnessing the most pronounced change, while the reverse was true for suburban and countryside areas. It is also clear that the downtown areas had significantly more cinemas than the other regions combined. Focusing on the increases first, the number of central movie theaters rose minimally, by 7.14%, from 1512 in 2004 to 1620 in 2009. The figure for cinemas in areas adjacent to the urban centers followed suit but more considerably, growing by a staggering 33.33% to 400 in 2009, up from 300 in the initial year. The figures for suburbs and countryside bucked the foregoing trend. In suburban areas, the number of cinemas was the lowest in both years, which fell from 40 to a meager 30 during the period, reporting a 25% decline. There were 108 cinemas in rural areas in 2004, but this number then experienced a drop of 16.67%, closing the period at 90. In total, in this country, there was an 8.9% growth in the number of cinemas, as their number increased from 2100 to 2287 over the period.

#task1 #writing The line graph illustrates the changes in the global demand for four types of textile fibres between 1980 and 2015, measured in million tonnes (mt). In general, the demand for cotton, polyester, and cellulosic saw increases of varying degrees, while that for wool was unchanged overall. Notably, the figure for polyester saw the most significant growth, overtaking cotton as the most in-demand fiber in the second half of the period. Cotton and polyester saw more noticeable changes throughout. The former stood at about 15 mt in 1980, a figure that then increased gradually to well under 30 mt in 2005. This number, however, saw a marginal dip in 2010 but then recovered to its 2005 level at the end of the period. The amount of polyester also increased, but more considerably, converging with that of cotton at exactly 20 mt in 2000, up from about 5 mt in the initial year. From 2000 onward, its demand rose even more sharply, closing the period at a chart high of 50 mt in 2015. The remaining fibers—cellulosic and wool—consistently showed much lower figures during the period. The demand for both cellulose-based fiber and wool remained the same between 1980 and 2000, at around 2 mt and 5 mt, respectively. Over the ensuing years, the demand for cellulosic grew negligibly, reaching its peak at about 8 mt in 2015, whereas the figure for wool saw a small uptick but then reverted to its initial figure at the end.
A letter to my student Hey, student! How are you feeling at this particular night? Remember the start of the year when you were feeling so fresh and pumped to start the new year and just change everything in your life? You probably even had a New Year Resolutions list in which you wrote down all the goals you planned to accomplish in 2026. How’s everything going? How many of those goals are still waiting to be achieved? I know that it’s hard to not be distracted on your path when you’re striving for greatness. You ARE striving to be great at what you’re learning, right? All these distractions, these romantic relationships, these feelings, these bad habits, this urge to slack off… All this pressure by your parents, teachers, society… This urge to give up… I feel you. I truly do. Trust me if you can. When will all this ever end? The truth is, never. This is your answer. Yes, you might be done with your studies one day, but the responsibilities never end. You keep leveling up, and so do your challenges too. So you gotta do what you gotta do to be the best version of yourself. You can’t be soft. You can’t be lazy. You can’t be demotivated. You must keep going one step at a time. You still have 5 months left until this year is over. Five more chapters in the book of 2026. What are you going to write on these pages? Just know that at the end of the road, you’ll thank yourself for not quitting. Let it rip. - NK
#task1 #writing The line chart shows the changes in the proportion of Australians working in five various industrial sectors from 1962 to 2012. Overall, the employment rate in the services and mining sectors saw increases of varying degrees, with the former consistently showing the highest figures throughout the period and the latter the lowest, while the reverse was true for manufacturing and agriculture. It is also clear that the percentage of the workforce in construction was unchanged. Focusing on the increases first, the proportion of Australians working in the services industry stood at just above 50% in 1962, a figure that then grew significantly and steadily, closing the period with a chart high of almost 80% in 2012. Mining, however, experienced a much less noticeable increase. Initially, its percentage of the workforce was 0% but then saw mild fluctuations and increased to a mere 3% by the end of the period. The remaining three industries bucked the foregoing trend. Manufacturing was the second largest industry of employment in 1962, whose percentage of workforce was just under 30%. This number then reduced gradually over the ensuing years, falling to 10% in the final year. Similarly, the figure for those working in the agriculture industry also saw a steady decline, from 10% in 1962 to 4% in 2012. The proportion of construction workers, by contrast, remained the same throughout, at exactly 10%.
