  • 🔤🔤🔤🔤1️⃣ The line graph illustrates the changes in the price of bananas in Japan, France, Germany and the United States between 1994 and 2004. Overall, banana prices were consistently highest in Japan and lowest in the US throughout the period. While prices in Japan fluctuated considerably but ended higher than at the beginning, those in the US rose slightly and then remained stable. By contrast, both France and Germany experienced overall declines despite some fluctuations. In Japan, banana prices began at just under $2 per kilogram in 1994 before rising sharply to a peak of approximately $2.80 the following year. The figure then fell dramatically in 1996 and remained relatively stable until 1999. Prices subsequently dropped to a low of slightly above $1.50 in 2000, after which they recovered steadily, finishing the period at around $2.50. In comparison, the US saw far less volatility: prices increased modestly from about $0.75 to just over $1 in 1995 and then remained largely unchanged for the rest of the decade. In France, banana prices were initially the second highest, at roughly $1.75 per kilogram in 1994, and stayed stable until 1997. After this, they fluctuated noticeably between approximately $1.25 and $1.75 before ending the period slightly above $1.50. Germany, meanwhile, followed a broadly downward trend, with prices declining gradually from just under $1.50 to just above $1 despite minor fluctuations along the way. #taskone 📱 Instagram 📱 Telegram

  • There is no doubt that luck plays a role in determining whether a person becomes successful in life. However, claiming that success is mainly the result of luck is an overstatement. In my view, achieving success usually requires a combination of hard work, talent, and a certain degree of good fortune. Admittedly, history contains many examples of people who became successful simply by being in the right place at the right time. This may happen through being born into the “right” family or through unexpected financial gain such as winning the lottery. Bill Gates serves as a pertinent example. He has openly acknowledged the role of luck in his life, particularly the timing of his birth and his early access to computers, which allowed him to develop valuable skills at a crucial moment in technological history. This ultimately led to the creation of one of the most successful companies of the last century and made him a billionaire. Similarly, there have been countless individuals who have won large lottery jackpots on their very first attempt, which further supports the argument that luck alone can sometimes lead to success. Nevertheless, despite these examples, I remain convinced that success is more often the result of personal effort and natural ability. Take Cristiano Ronaldo, for instance. Born into a disadvantaged family, he initially lacked both the resources and the refined skills required to become a professional football player. However, his relentless work ethic, ambition, and natural talent enabled him to develop into one of the greatest footballers in the history of the sport. Another example is Elon Musk, who experienced numerous failures throughout his career but continued to work hard and take risks despite intense public pressure. His perseverance ultimately led him to build groundbreaking companies and become one of the most influential entrepreneurs of the twenty-first century. In conclusion, although luck can certainly influence a person’s chances of success, I believe that meaningful and lasting achievements are far more likely to result from hard work, determination, and individual talent. #tasktwo 📱 Instagram 📱 Telegram

  • 🔤🔤🔤🔤2️⃣ It is increasingly common for governments to prioritise the construction of specialised sporting facilities intended exclusively for elite athletes rather than investing in amenities accessible to the general public. Although this strategy can produce international recognition and sporting success, I believe it represents a largely negative development if it comes at the expense of broader public access. Admittedly, facilities tailored to the needs of professional athletes can generate tangible national benefits. Most notably, they enhance the likelihood of international success and medal acquisition on the global stage. Uzbekistan serves as a pertinent example. Following substantial investment in sports such as boxing and football, the country’s boxers have risen to prominence in international competitions, and the national football team has, for the first time, qualified for the World Cup — arguably the most prestigious tournament in the sport. Such achievements not only justify financial expenditure but also foster national pride. Furthermore, elite athletes often function as role models. Observing local sporting heroes train in world-class environments may inspire younger generations to pursue athletic careers and adopt healthier lifestyles. However, these advantages should not overshadow the broader societal implications. When governments allocate disproportionate funding to exclusive, high-performance centres — such as a state-of-the-art velodrome — instead of constructing community swimming pools or multipurpose gyms, the majority of citizens may be deprived of opportunities to engage in regular exercise. Over time, this imbalance can contribute to increasingly sedentary lifestyles, thereby elevating long-term healthcare costs. In addition, sport may begin to appear inaccessible, reserved only for the genetically gifted or financially privileged. From a cost-efficiency perspective, specialised facilities typically serve a limited number of individuals while imposing substantial maintenance expenses. In contrast, community-based facilities promote widespread participation and contribute to overall public health. In conclusion, while investing in elite sporting infrastructure can yield international acclaim and national pride, prioritising such projects over accessible public facilities is ultimately detrimental. Governments should ensure that sporting investment reflects the needs of the majority rather than concentrating resources on a select few. by Og'abek Ro'zmetov #tasktwo 📱 Instagram 📱 Telegram
