Shiny Nickit will debut in Pokémon GO during August Community Day on Sunday, 16th August 2026. Evolve Nickit to get a Thievul that knows the Charged Attack Icy Wind.

The Explorer Gadget is officially entering a phased rollout in Pokémon GO after being available to some Trainers in recent weeks. It’s available to Trainers level 20 and above, uses regular Poké Balls, and has daily catch and spin limits based on Trainer level.

Every Trainer who logs in to Pokémon GO can get a Timed Research that will lead to an encounter with a 100% IV Mewtwo with a Special Background and a Master Ball.

Groudon returns to 5-star raid battles from Wednesday, August 12th to Tuesday, 18th August 2026, at 10 am local time.

The weekly Pokémon Spotlight Hour is set for Thursday, 13th August from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. During the hour, an increased number of Wurmple will appear in the wild and you’ll earn double XP from evolving Pokémon.

Take a stroll this Saturday and hatch Magby and Smoochum from 2 km Eggs in Pokémon GO! Trainers will have an increased chance to hatch Shiny Magby and Shiny Smoochum. On Saturday, 8th August 2026, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm local time.

The weekly Pokémon Spotlight Hour is set for Thursday, 6th August from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. During the hour, an increased number of Delibird will appear in the wild, and you’ll earn double Stardust from catching Pokémon.

Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf return to 5-star raid battles from Wednesday, 5th August to Tuesday, 11th August 2026, at 10 am local time.

Different Pokémon with increased shiny odds will be available in the wild every other day during the Summer Marathon event in Pokémon GO.
