Nims Dai set the record by climbing all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks in just 6 months and 6 days. Naming something of that intensity as project possible ~ only he can do it! Every summit he stood on reminded us that our biggest limits are often the ones we place on ourselves. As someone who dreams of the mountains, every trek I take carries a little bit of that inspiration. When the climb gets tough, when the air gets thinner, and when giving up feels easier than taking another step, it’s stories like yours that remind me why we keep going. You made ordinary people believe they could chase extraordinary dreams. You will live on in every trail walked with courage, every summit reached with determination, and every person who chooses to believe that impossible is just a word. Thank you for everything you gave to the mountaineering community and to dreamers around the world. Rest easy, Nims Dai.
