🇰🇷 Seoul Is Going Full Apollo The Apollo Anomaly is coming up on August 22, and Seoul is already getting into it. Korean Agents have been adding their own touch to the event, with mission banners and even field art created around the Anomaly area. Korean Agent peclife has created two mission banners around Yeouido. Both routes stay within the Playbox, so you can explore Yeouido and enjoy the scenery as you go 🤩 1-1. 🕊 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news that Belgian agent @icefr34k has passed away. 💙 icefr34k was an avid anomaly attendee and recharger, recently joining agents in Geneva, Zagreb, The Hague, Chemnitz, Naples, and many other cities, with Los Angeles being one of the highlights of his many anomaly adventures. (Pictured on the left) A fierce fielder and Rucker, he crossed paths with countless agents from near and far along the way. 🤍 Anomalies were also something he shared with his wife and son, and together they completed many banners and made countless memories during their travels. 💡In his memory, we would like to ask agents to light a visual beacon at 20:00 UTC+2 on 12 August, to show their support and send their condolences. 💙 His son, @th3v4p0r1z3r, and wife, Hilde, would love to see just how many agents’ lives were touched by icefr34k. With Pokémon GO marking its 10th anniversary this month, a documentary broadcast in Japan looked back at the origins of the game. It featured Tatsuo Nomura and Ed Wu, who worked on Pokémon GO at Niantic, along with a recorded interview with Niantic founder John Hanke. Much of the program focused on Tatsuo Nomura's life and the behind-the-scenes development of Pokémon GO, revealing the years of work that went into creating the game. In his interview, John Hanke shared the vision behind real-world games: I could see my own children spending more and more time with the screens inside. And I wanted to use technology to create something that would really make them want to go outside with me to explore some of these places and walk and hike outdoors together. That vision first came to life with Ingress.
