if you ever considered buying a flip phone remember that most of the apps that aren't system apps are broken like this for ages on the folded screen. sometimes they fix it and after some updates it gets broken again.

It seemingly broke. The most major problem with it is data loss. Some apps will only keep an on-device processed (passed through renderer) copy and that may mean an irreversible loss of media that you captured or received. Not a hyperbole.
