Hey everyone. It's been around 2 years since we've made any big posts. Today, I want to briefly discuss some new Android community dramas! After 2 years, we are finally having a big drama. I would like to discuss about... Amrito vs ASCP First of all, let's discuss how it started, Amrito! What he did was extremely unjustified and utterly stupid. For those who are not aware, Amrito got access to all the Source Code of ASCP, a closed source ROM's code, and tried to use it against them. I would like to point out, this idiot has had major dramas beforehand that everyone is aware of. It's the community's fault for falling into this kid's sweet tongue and forgiving him. I hope this acts as a final lesson for everyone who he has wronged, which, trust me, is a lot. Next up, about the ASCP team... what the hell guys? This is some new level of unprofessionalism. We have had dramas before, ROMs have gotten involved before, but it was never in an official capacity, EXCEPT one specific ROM that I believe everyone from 2024 is aware about. The ASCP admins and group members were doxxing Amrito in their OFFICIAL ROM GC and when I requested them to stop it and punish the bad actors, they told me no and banned me off. ... I'm sorry, what? I only insulted one member who kept questioning me while I was talking with the founder directly. This is some insane level of unprofessionalism, and the worst part is, they're not even acknowledging it or taking any accountability. I have not seen this level of unprofessionalism since the 2024 Evolution-X drama. Moreover, the ASCP team was insulting Ayan, who is also the designer of AxionAOSP team, even though he had made it clear he was against Amrito and he was just trying to talk it out, on the basis that Ayan did not correctly describe their ROM. My brother in Christ, Ayan is a busy person with his own life. He is not up-to-date with the Custom ROMs community, how does that give you any right to insult him?! I'm extremely disappointed by the fact that a lot of the people who I know have decided to participate in this ROM, probably unknowing to the activities that happened last night. I understand what happened was must have caused outrage in the ASCP community, however, publicly doxxing someone in a place meant to be a discussion group is too much. I should also make it clear, that we are not siding with either of the parties. They're both wrong, and we will not hold any bias against them. I hope that both, Amrito as well as the ASCP team reach out and sort this matter in a more professional manner. This is just an awareness post, you all should keep in mind to avoid such dramas.
