Louisiana Pastor Arrested After Alleged Confrontation With Neighbor Following Threats Against Family Pastor Tony Spell was arrested and booked on a second-degree battery charge after an altercation with a neighbor’s son whom he says threatened to rape his wife, rape his grandchildren, and kill his family. Spell said the confrontation occurred while he was working on a church bus and argued that he was acting as the natural protector of his family and congregation. The neighboring Sherwin family disputes Spell’s account, but members of his church backed his claims and said they have filed multiple complaints about the family with police.
