COUNTDOWN BEGINS! Rotary club of Addis Ababa-West, Ethiopia 35th year Anniversary Celebration, featuring a special live performance by world acclaimed composer Girma Yifrashewa. All are warmly invited! This charity concert is presented in commemoration of the 35th Anniversary of Rotary Addis Ababa West in service to humanity. This extraordinary evening will feature Girma performing a unique repertoire of celebrated European classical masterpieces fused with timeless Ethiopian classical compositions; creating a musical experience rarely witnessed live. All proceeds will go towards Rotary selected charitable projects for underserved communities. A half day weekend well spent! This April, in recognition of World Autism Month, the Rotary Club of AA West marked the occasion through a public fundraising campaign in support of its ongoing initiative with Nia Foundation’s Joy Autism Center building construction. Under the theme “100,000 Hearts for 300 Birr”, we came together to honor the remarkable legacy of founder and our dear member Rotarian Zemi Yenus towards supporting the completion of the country’s first holistic autism center. Together, our club handed over 260,000 ETB initially raised and through a live TikTok campaign joined by more than 20,000 public users from around the world, we raised an additional 170,000 ETB bringing the total contribution to 430,000 ETB. A powerful example of what joint community, compassion, and shared purpose can achieve. Huge thank you to our Rotarians, Nia Foundation Board, Nahi Studio for freely setting up the live stream and everyone who contributed to this significant cause.
