🎭Creative meeting with Chinese director Ding Yiteng was held at the University In June, he will present his play 'Tired of Being Born and Dying' at the Alexandrinsky Theatre, based on the novel by Nobel laureate Mo Yan. Russian actors have a very powerful weapon — a brilliant mastery of the Stanislavski’s system. My team and I are trying to introduce elements of Chinese aesthetics, work with the body, movement, and symbolism. I believe that by combining the traditions of Russian theatre and Chinese theatre, we are seeking something new, — the artist noted. 🏮Professor Alexey Rodionov emphasized that interest in productions from China is growing in Russia, and that St. Petersburg State University, through its organised events, plays a key role in this process.

👏St. Petersburg State University presents an anthology titled 'Soul Without Borders' The publication is dedicated to contemporary Iranian literature and opens up a whole body of little-known works. The translator of the book is Aleksandr Andryushkin, a two-time silver laureate of the Eurasian Literary Prize, a writer, and an alumnus of our University. To translate a work of literature means not only to convey the meaning absolutely faithfully but also to ensure that the text resonates in another culture as a fully realised literary expression, — Alexander Andryushkin emphasised. ✅The stories are distinguished by a unique style and subtle psychological depth. Many of them are an invitation to thoughtful reading, where the plot is not the only thing that matters.
🏛St. Petersburg State University and the Shanghai Theatre Academy — Building the Future of Art Together We have signed an agreement to develop joint educational and scientific projects in this field. This is not an average greenhouse⭐️ Right in the middle of the city, there’s a place that’s been quietly growing for over 160 years. SPbU Botanical Garden is the secret jungle that you might not know about What's happening there right now behind the glass? 🌿The greenhouses are home to more than 1,100 plant species — from cacti and succulents to rare “living stones”. Some of them have been around since World War II. 🍀A new high-tech system now controls the temperature, humidity, and watering automatically — it’s like a spa for plants. 🌸There’s a little pond in the garden where hundreds of common newts live. During construction, scientists built them special underground tunnels and shelters so they could move around safely. Swipe through to see the magnificent views 📷

🇨🇺SPbU welcomes a group of talented young people from Cuba Ten promising students have arrived to study the Russian language and then enroll in colleges of the Northern capital. The University structured the work in two stages: 🌟The young people are immersed in the language environment: they reside in the SPbU House of Postgraduate Students and Trainees in Peterhof and attend classes. 🌟This week, the students began their in-person classes. Their arrival is a vivid symbol of cooperation between our countries. We emphasize the importance of international educational initiatives even amidst contemporary global challenges. Everyone was really looking forward to the start of face-to-face classes, as the experience differ from the online format. After being accustomed to the usual tropical climate, finding ourselves in St. Petersburg is a striking contrast, but we are ready for it. Once we complete our studies here in Russia, we will return to Cuba and apply the knowledge we have gained to help develop our economy and share our experience, — shared the group's head, Ayarde Valdés Inardis Esteban.
🇯🇴Lina Nabulsi is a fourth-year student at the University (Faculty of Economics). She moved to the Northern capital from sunny Jordan. Her choice was the result of many years of preparation and genuine admiration for St. Petersburg. She aspired to enroll specifically at St. Petersburg University — a true brand recognized far beyond the borders of our country. There are moments when it seems less like a bustling metropolis and more like an open-air museum somewhere in Europe. 💭 About traditions, friends, and the most important word on all continents — read in the interview. #interview
