👍 👍 Sava Rakin to Joseph Goebbels — Serbian SS on the Eastern Front To: Dr. Joseph Goebbels Reich Minister for Propaganda Dear Mr. Minister, I take the liberty of approaching you with this proposal. As an enthusiastic supporter of the National Socialist movement, I had to endure many inconveniences and obstacles in Belgrade from the Jewish-Masonic clique even before the war, and therefore, fourteen months ago, I fled from Belgrade to Germany, because I was attacked twice during the night by elements hostile to Germany, and my life was in danger. I have been in Berlin since January 1942. Since I have always regarded the National Socialist movement from an idealistic point of view, I have never approached a competent factor in Berlin in order to seek support for a well-known fighter for Germany and the Fatherland, and against Jewry and Bolshevism. The purpose of this memorandum is to acquaint you more closely with the circumstances presently existing in Belgrade and Serbia. During my last stay in Belgrade in January of this year, I was together with many of my friends who have also long been National Socialist-minded, as well as with my good friend and political fellow-struggler, Mr. Strahinja Janjić, who is now commander of the Serbian SS troops, which consist of volunteers. Mr. Janjić took me to the barracks in which the aforementioned SS troops from Belgrade and its surroundings are stationed. I convinced myself of Mr. Janjić's organizational ability. In a short time he succeeded in recruiting many National Socialist-minded young men for the Waffen-SS, with the assistance of the German authorities present there. In addition to lectures on Adolf Hitler and Greater Germany, the aforementioned volunteers are also being trained in the use of weapons, which have been made available to them by the German authorities. These volunteers are prepared to fight Bolshevism with weapons. Through Mr. Janjić I also learned that he had repeatedly attempted to realize his idea and wish that these troops be sent to the Eastern Front. For reasons unknown to him, his intention has so far not been put into practice, although Mr. Janjić is working in the closest cooperation with the German authorities. In order to take into account the wishes and intentions of these men and of Mr. Janjić, and to enable them to commit themselves to the ideas of the uncompromising struggle of Greater Germany and the other peoples of Europe against Bolshevism, I ask you to concern yourself with this matter and to make it possible for these volunteers, through personal and bloody sacrifice, to contribute their share to the reorganization of Europe. Mr. Janjić asked me to inform you of these circumstances. In the letter which I received from him today, he once again asks me to take the necessary steps in this regard. In order to organize this matter properly, Mr. Janjić asks me to interest you in it and to invite him personally to Berlin. My visit to you could also be very useful in connection with this question; I am therefore always at your disposal. 🔗📄 Archive of Serbia, Security-Information Agency Collection, II, file 14, “Serbian Gestapo”; Historical Archive of Belgrade, State Security Service Collection, J-198. @SerbianArchiveSA

“Judeo-Masonry, international Jewry, and international Jewish capitalism, which have gathered all power into their hands in our unfortunate country, have forced us into a struggle to the end, to the extermination of either us or them... They have forbidden us to work: Mr. Vladko Maček, an Austrian Oberleutnant; Gile the Gypsy, a wartime shirker and military deserter; Korošec, the vampire and gravedigger of Yugoslavia, servants of dark forces and traitors to Yugoslavia... You are mistaken, gentlemen rulers, schemers, scoundrels and traitors, Masons and servants of the Jews; you are mistaken if you think that you will destroy us. Zbor enters the struggle, the final decisive battle against you and the evil that you are creating...” 🌾— Archives of Belgrade, Fund of Ljotić’s Organization Zbor, Box No. 6, document: Leaflet to the Membership of Zbor – To the Entire Yugoslav Public. ♱ ᴢʙᴏʀ ᴀᴜᴛʜᴏʀɪᴛʏ | ꜱᴇʀʙɪᴀɴ ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇ
We are children of God and people of the Aryan race, to whom fate has assigned the honorable role of being the main bearer of Christianity in the world. We are members of the great Slavic family, which for many centuries has vigilantly kept watch at the gates of Europe, so that tribes of a weaker race and lower faith would not disturb baptized Europe in its peaceful development and progress. We are a baptized people, a Christ-bearing people. And so, we are Aryans by blood, Slavs by surname, Serbs by name, and Christians by heart and spirit. - St. Nikolaj Velimirović Speech on Vidovdan "Whose are you, small Serbian people?" year 1939.
🌾Dimitrije Ljotić on the Jews “Individualist thought from one hundred and fifty years ago had the aim of causing Christian peoples to lose their way and wander like cranes. One hundred and fifty years ago they[Jews] were peering out of the European ghettos. They had a separate civil status. They were like people under surveillance, morning and evening. They were not allowed to acquire immovable property, and they traded as suspicious merchants. Just imagine that in only one hundred and fifty years, Jews today hold all the keys to material wealth. And not only to safes and barns and granaries, but also the keys to the spirit. For what you will eat, what you will drink, what you will read or translate, what you will sing, will be determined for you, Christian peoples, by the Jewish spirit.” “To destroy the faith of Christians, to cast down the Creator and Sustainer of the universe from the altar on which He must stand in human consciousness, that was and remains the Jewish idea. And they have abundantly realized and brought it to life over the past one hundred and fifty years. Atheism has become a philosophical idea of the street since the time Jews carried it into it. There was godlessness before as well, but it remained within cabinets. It became a dangerous and chaotic, destructive force from the moment Jews brought it out into the street... That people has taken upon itself to dissolve even the human soul as a whole. And how? Through their psychologists and philosophers, who have taken it upon themselves to destroy the most sacred feelings of the human soul.” 🔗📄 “On Jews, Excerpt from a lecture by Comrade President,” Naš Put (Our Path), issue 4, Petrovgrad, 26 March 1939, pp. 2–3. @SerbianArchiveSA

⚡️ He [Nedić] apparently seeks to bring his people, who are indeed Aryan, but not biologically related to us, closer to the German people on an ideological basis and on the basis of a similar worldview. Even if this consideration may perhaps only be a tactical means, all circumstances nevertheless indicate that he believes in Germany’s victory and that he therefore intends to bind the future of his people to Germany’s fate. ~ Egon Bönner 🔗📄 NARA, T501, Roll 256, frame 931. @SerbianArchiveSA
