Update: Sovryn on BOB Maintenance mode for the DEX on BOB has been lifted — trading is back up and running. As part of our review, we've removed the staking functionality on BOB. All other contracts on BOB have been verified and were not at risk. Dear Sovryns, We are excited to announce preparations for the biggest step toward fulfilling the reason Sovryn was founded: to build a world on Bitcoin. A key component of this vision is a Bitcoin-native rollup layer that can execute crypto-native and real-world economic activities without centralized providers or reliance on intermediaries. Sovryn is preparing to build this infrastructure, which we call the Sovryn Layer. This means we are shifting resources—both capital and human—toward building this foundation. Some team members are rotating to different roles, new positions will be created, and unfortunately, some roles have been made redundant. The exceptional team members who have been handling community management - Sprow, nOtik, Stan The Great, Cosmomatrix CEK and Luka Grunt - have dedicated their time, abilities, and care to this project and community. While they will not be able to stay on as team members, they will of course remain valued members of the community. The Sovryn contributors would like to thank you for your years of dedication to the community and to Sovryn’s values. We’d like to welcome the new community managers who will handle moderation moving forward. Clair will be helping spearhead community initiatives. Most of you already know her as the Head of Community at BOS. She will be here to support all of you through this transition—whether you have questions, suggestions, or anything else. She will be accompanied by the Defiants team, @Jack_Defiants @w0ngky @Sophie_Defiants @Kay, who many of you are also familiar with from BOS. Together, they’ll ensure continuity, stability, and support for all needs within the community ecosystem. Looking ahead, the launch of the Sovryn Layer represents a pivotal moment for Bitcoin’s evolution into a fully programmable financial ecosystem. $BOS Trading Now LIVE on Sovryn After launching through Origins and incubating BitcoinOS from day one, Sovryn now joins the major exchanges supporting BOS: Binance, KuCoin, Kraken, Gate.io… And now the missing piece is live too: The Ethereum <-> RSK bridge is officially open, allowing users to bridge $BOS directly into Sovryn and trade on the Rootstock network. Bridge Maintenance Mode Lifted - Enter $BOS… The ERC-20 Bridge maintenance window is finished, and everything is running normally again. The primary purpose of this maintenance was to prepare the new BOS token route for the Ethereum <-> RSK Bridge. The BOS bridge infrastructure is now implemented on the backend and ready, but BOS bridging is not yet enabled for users. We will publish a separate announcement the moment BOS trading and the BOS bridge between Ethereum and RSK go live on Sovryn. Alongside the BOS bridge addition, several parameter updates were applied: Updated SOV and eSOV parameters • eSOV minimum amount updated to 235 eSOV • eSOV fee updated to 23.5 eSOV • SOV minimum amount updated to 470 SOV • SOV fee updated to 235 SOV If you attempted a transfer during the window: • Any pending or stuck transaction will finalize automatically within 24 hours • If you believe yours is stuck, open a ticket in the bottom right corner of the sovryn dApp (https://sovryn.app/ )

ERC-20 Bridge Maintenance Mode Activated The ERC-20 Bridge is now in maintenance mode. This window will last approximately 4 hours. During this time: • Bridge transactions will not be processed • D1 and D2 frontends are paused • User assets remain safe Do not attempt to bridge assets until we confirm that maintenance mode has been lifted. If any transaction was initiated recently and appears stuck, it will be processed within the next 24 hours. Stay tuned for updates.

Pre-Maintenance Notice Heads up. We are preparing a maintenance window for the Sovryn ERC-20 Bridge today, around 2 pm UTC. This maintenance will focus on updating bridge parameters and preparing the bridge to support a new asset. No action is required right now. We will share more details when the window begins/ends. Sovryn Development Update! A new release is live on sovryn.app • ERC-20 Bridge on D2 Now live, bringing feature parity with D1/Alpha and expanding cross-chain functionality • Bridging improvements Fees and minimum transfer amounts have been reduced for BNB and ETH bridges. Updated bridge fees and limits: • BNB (BSC → Rootstock): Fee 0.004 BNB (was 0.01 BNB), min 0.03 BNB (was 0.1 BNB) • BNB (Rootstock → BSC): Fee 0.004 BNB (was 0.01 BNB), min 0.03 BNB (was 0.1 BNB) • ETH (Rootstock → Ethereum): Fee 0.01 ETH (was 0.02 ETH), min 0.02 ETH (was 0.04 ETH) • No changes for other assets These updates make bridging cheaper and more flexible, with a streamlined experience for users moving assets across chains. Reminder: FastBTC will be discontinued on November 1st, 2025 FastBTC was created to bridge BTC in and out of RSK when native tools weren’t ready. Now, RSK’s own BTC transfer methods are faster, safer, and fully maintained by the core protocol team, making FastBTC no longer necessary. Key details: - FastBTC ends November 1, 2025. BOB Network: Token Migration and Liquidity Pool Transition USDT and WBTC on BOB were upgraded to new token standards (oUSDT + OFT WBTC). This means: - Old liquidity pools are deprecated (withdraw-only) - New pools with upgraded tokens are replacing them - Your action is needed - Liquidity providers must migrate tokens and liquidity manually ⚠️ Deadline: October 29, 2025 After this date, BOB’s migration contracts for USDT and WBTC will close. SIP-0087 PASSED – LP Contract Hardening Approved The community has voted in favor of SIP-0087. 100% FOR / 0% AGAINST Turnout: 31,135,312 VP (32.99%) What this means: • The lending pool contract hardening upgrade will be executed • Maintenance mode will be lifted in the coming days • Sovryn lending pools and margin trading will safely resume once the fix is implemented This result is more than just technical progress, it shows the strength of Sovryn’s governance. With nearly one-third of all voting power engaged and unanimous support, the community demonstrated both understanding of the issue and unity in making sure the protocol becomes stronger.
