i should probably mention the growing fork: @eeveespotifyrevived and clarify something the dev behind it has made it work on the latest version by removing lyrics and a few non-essential hooks that broke in the latest version i couldn’t release an EeveeSpotify update like that, as i think custom lyrics are essential. a lot of the tracks i listened to didn’t have lyrics on Spotify, but they work perfectly when using the Musixmatch source in EeveeSpotify. having translations and fetching from Genius was also nice fully fixing lyrics support, sources, making it work for tracks without lyrics on Spotify and local tracks, hide on error, and other features takes real reverse-engineering skills and hard work, and Spotify keeps changing their architecture. that’s why i’ve decided to discontinue the project, and it would be incredibly nice if someone manages to fix it so, if you just really need the latest version, the fork is nice. otherwise, you can stick with EeveeSpotify 9.1.0 for working lyrics

merry late christmas eevee our christmas gift: eeveespotify is now officially discontinued some clarification: previous versions should still work, but i won’t be providing any updates in the foreseeable future. i’m tired of keeping up with their architecture changes. if there are any skilled devs or reverse engineers out there, contributions via pull requests would be greatly appreciated make a fork and let the community know. that'd be cool!

i hate spotify they've changed their lyrics logic again, removed a bunch of lyrics view controllers as well as the lyrics scroll provider in 9.1.2💔💔

okay, so spotify has changed its scrolling logic under the hood recently. it includes different, completely new scroll models, providers, controllers and everything, called "nova scroll". actually, it was introduced months ago and hasn't been used yet. there were already issues related to it, like you could see the lyrics wouldn't load. in EeveeSpotify v6.1.4 for 9.0.80, i overrode spotify's property so it used the old scroll. in 9.0.88, spotify seems to have removed the old logic completely. it's not that spotify's trying to screw eeveespotify, just code architecture changes so EeveeSpotify needs a significant rewrite. i need to dig into these new controllers and models to make sure everything works as before (including features such as lyrics for local tracks, hide on error, etc). i also need to maintain backward compatibility since eeveespotify targets ios 14, as the latest spotify version 8.9.8 for ios 14 doesn't have nova scroll i have zero motivation to do it. let's crowdfund like $100 so i'll start working on it. the crypto addresses are in the pinned message, as well as in github's readme, and for paypal, you can dm @asdfzxcvbn0 upd: the $100 has been collected. i’ve started working on the update, thanks everyone!
