Let there be light! (and air conditioning, and my computer) Everything is back to normal for now.

Power is still out. :'3 While it is awesome to have a tablet for this exact situation, it is out of battery. I haven't been able to art. I am going crazy.

So I have been without power for almost 12 hours at this point from a windstorm that hit most of Ohio. They aren't giving a time when that's being restored, some of my surrounding areas have estimated restoration times of 4pm tomorrow. We shall see. :<

Screen writes well. Feels well, and it has MULTITOUCH ✋😩👌 (Zooming in with the two finger spread is so natural, just like my old Mobile Studio Pro)

The pen feels like an actual pen. While I enjoy and am used to the Wacom 2 thick and chunky pen, there is something about this Huion one that is nice. And feels and looks like just a normal pen. For better or for worse. It does feel like I could snap it. But not gonna test that. 2 buttons, no eraser. While the eraser is a fun feature I rarely use it. Only to be different.

A weird instance though. The tablet had bookmarks saved to a bunch of Chinese websites. Like, normal bookmarks. All in Chinese. It kinda triggered a weird red flag, did a bunch of research, 98% that it's just normal. Huion after all is a Chinese brand. Chrome uploaded these bookmarks and it made me think I installed Chrome from the wrong website but it all cleared out. I didn't. Someone at the factory just put these bookmarks in for some unknown reason.

2nd Glance. The Huion pen is nice. Just as capable as the Wacom Pen 2. I have not given it the full test on tilt controls yet. But that is surely coming. Fire Alpaca ran very smoothly. Gonna test Clip Studio later. The thing has 500g of hard drive. Not bad. The Bloatware was not a problem. There was zero bloatware on it aside from what Microsoft was trying to push. And co-pilot hasn't been a problem yet. It was very funny how Microsoft Edge BEGGED to not be replaced. Resorting to begging? For shame lol.

Funny enough I had my Wacom Pen 2 and it was compatible. Lol.

First Glance. It's heavy. And not in a bad way. Feels like it can take a beating but I would never test it. It also CAME with a stand. Which is a polite thing to do. You could learn something Wacom! Anyways, the stand seems sturdy. Made of metal. It's windows 11 🙄 It's already trying to sell me up some bloatware. We'll see how bad it is come installation. I am already dreading the co-pilot and start menu nonsense.

Will be giving it a review once I get the chance. You can be sure about that.

There is a lot of birthday stuff planned between the days I work and I am also taking the weekend to buckle down on art, doing everything I possibly can to shake off the Birthday depression.
