  • TIINDIA spikes 8% after management provides clarification on margins ▶️Tube Investments of India Ltd’s recent Q1 FY27 results (on Aug 14th) saw profit declining to Rs 294 Cr (-3% YoY) despite a 17% YoY surge in core revenue. This was attributed to steel inflation and pass-through timing, which curbed the bottom line in the Engineering (in spite of 17% volume growth) and the MFP (Metal Formed Products) segments. ▶️This margin compression stems from a 2-3 quarter price pass-through “lag” with the management explicitly guiding for a full recovery of the steel under-recovery (including Q1), following which the EBIT margins are expected to grow in the double digits. The management is also amongst additional negotiations for the fuel/freight inflation, which was described as unusually large.

  • IndoMIM hits 10% upper circuit after Q1 FY27 results Financial Highlights Revenue from operations: Rs 1,218.7 Cr (+16% QoQ, +9% YoY) EBITDA: Rs 406.6 Cr (+103% QoQ, +24% YoY) PAT: Rs 240.1 Cr (+73% QoQ, +32% YoY) Analysis 🔎 The recently IPO’d company saw strong expansion in the bottom line with a modest topline scale. EBITDA saw a massive increase, indicating better cost control and a diversified product mix towards higher-value sectors along with much higher production yields with lower wastage. This led to a significant increase in the EBITDA margins, which reached nearly 33.4% (+5 pp QoQ, +14 pp YoY). PAT saw strong expansion as well, with finance costs down more than 40% to Rs 26.6 Cr. The company also paid an interim dividend of Rs 6.8/ Share during the quarter, resulting in a cash outflow of Rs 159.8 Cr. With total capacity utilization still at lower levels, and with the company remaining strongly EBITDA positive, operating leverage could help yield higher returns with future scale.
