17 December 2020 🗓 On December 16, 2020, the FBI, CISA, and ODNI released a joint statement outlining how they have recently “become aware of a significant and ongoing cybersecurity campaign” against the United States of America. According to the statement, the agencies have formed a “Cyber Unified Coordination Group (UCG) to coordinate a whole-of-government response to this significant cyber incident.” It is noted that “this compromise has affected networks within the federal government.” The FBI is investigating and gathering intelligence in an effort to find out who committed the cyber attack and bring the actor/s to justice. “As the lead for threat response, the FBI is investigating and gathering intelligence in order to attribute, pursue, and disrupt the responsible threat actors. The FBI is engaging with known and suspected victims and information gained through FBI’s efforts will provide indicators to network defenders and intelligence to our government partners to enable further action.” [LINK] 17 January 2021 🗓 Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe assessed that China interfered in the 2020 federal elections, according to a letter transmitted to Congress. In the letter (pdf), Ratcliffe alleges that intelligence about China’s election interference was suppressed by management at the CIA, which pressured analysts to withdraw their support for the view. Citing a report by the Intelligence Community’s analytic ombudsman Barry Zulauf, the director of national intelligence said that some analysts were reluctant to describe China’s actions as election interference because they disagreed with the policies of President Donald Trump. The Washington Examiner published Ratcliffe’s letter and the ombudsman report on Jan. 17, 10 days after publishing an original report on the documents. Trump has made a fatal error: he put John Solomon in charge of Thursday's election fraud announcement. The problem: Solomon appears to answer to the same intelligence agency that wants to hide its involvement in our stolen elections, according to several NatSec sources. The same team of patriots who saved the 2024 election by briefing Elon Musk and Team Trump also briefed John Solomon on election fraud in 2023. Solomon wanted nothing to do with it. I'm told: Solomon's office was in a building associated with the CIA. John Solomon was at the center of the "indictments are coming!" hoax that was run through Fox News during the first Trump Admin. Solomon claimed to have sources inside the IC who were going to indict deep state traitors. No one was indicted. Solomon never apologized. Last year, John Solomon appeared on Fox News to push Trump to "appoint a special prosecutor" to handle Jeffrey Epstein files. That's how FBI/CIA wanted to control the process. Part of President Trump's speech Thursday night is expected to touch on previously unreported alleged Chinese meddling in U.S. elections, according to sources familiar with the matter.  One component: Allegations that Beijing compromised U.S. voter data and evidence the CIA knew about the action and didn't share that information with Mr. Trump during his first term. The audience for the primetime speech is expected to include members of the president's cabinet. Among those invited are the heads of CIA, FBI, Office of the Director of National Intelligence and Department of Homeland Security, as well as other agencies and staff. Some cabinet members will not be there due to scheduling conflicts. Asked for comment on the contents of the president's address, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said: "As usual, anonymous sources are speculating about what President Trump will say during his speech on Thursday evening. White House adviser Kurt Olsen, a lawyer Trump has tasked with proving widely debunked election-rigging conspiracy theories, pushed the plan to target Dominion Voting Systems machines. The idea emerged, the sources said, as Olsen and other officials brainstormed about how ‌the federal government could take control over elections from U.S. states, an idea Trump publicly aired. Olsen wanted a national system of hand-counted paper ballots, the sources said, a frequent Trump demand some election-security experts say would be less accurate and potentially riskier than the current system of machines with auditable paper trails that almost all cities and states use. The plan to exclude the machines, reported here first, got far enough that in September, Commerce Department officials began exploring what grounds could be invoked to execute it, three additional sources said. It eventually collapsed, however, because Olsen and other administration staffers working with him failed to provide evidence to justify such a move, two of the sources said. The episode is part of a far-reaching Trump ​administration push to encroach on state and local governments’ authority to run elections – which is granted to them in the U.S. Constitution to prevent the executive branch from seizing power.
