⛳️The Elephant Rope (Belief) Sometimes an inspiring story helps us find out the strength within us. An inspiring story helps you inspire yourself and motivate yourself. It also helps find out what you can do and what you cannot. There are hundreds you may have read in your life. But how many of them actually made changes in your mind is a question. Here are some inspiring short stories that not only give a powerful lesson, but can also be helpful to learn about some unknown truths about life. A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp, and he spotted that the elephants weren't being kept in cages or held by the use of chains. All that was holding them back from escaping the camp was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs. As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn't just use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. They could easily have done so, but instead, they didn't try to at all. Curious and wanting to know the answer, he asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just standing there and never tried to escape. The trainer replied: "When they are very young and much smaller, we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." The only reason that the elephants weren't breaking free and escaping from the camp was that over time they adopted the belief that it just wasn't possible. Moral: No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, always continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible. Believing you can become successful is the most important step in actually achieving it.

⛳️The Surprise Party Discovery: Emma had been feeling down all week, convinced that her family had forgotten her sixteenth birthday. She had dropped hints for months about wanting a special celebration, but as the day approached, no one seemed to be making any plans. Her parents were acting strangely, her siblings were being secretive, and she was starting to think that her birthday would be just another ordinary day. The morning of her birthday started like any other day—her alarm went off, she got dressed for school, and she made her way downstairs for breakfast. But when she walked into the kitchen, she was greeted by complete silence and darkness. Confused, she reached for the light switch. Suddenly, the lights flashed on and a chorus of voices shouted, "Surprise! Happy Birthday, Emma!" The kitchen was filled with her family, friends, and even some of her teachers from school. Balloons covered the ceiling, streamers hung from every surface, and a huge birthday cake sat on the table with sixteen candles glowing brightly. Emma was completely overwhelmed with emotion. Her parents had been planning the surprise party for weeks, coordinating with her friends and teachers to make sure everyone could attend. They had even arranged for her to have the day off from school so they could celebrate all day long. The party was filled with laughter, games, and special moments that Emma would never forget. Her friends had created a video montage of their favorite memories together, her family had prepared all her favorite foods, and everyone took turns sharing what made Emma special to them. The experience taught Emma that sometimes the people who love you most are the ones who go to the greatest lengths to make you feel special. She had learned that love wasn't always expressed in obvious ways—sometimes it was hidden in secret planning and careful coordination.

⛳️The little girl and mushrooms: It was a fine summer morning, perfect to be outdoors. Two sisters had been out mushroom picking, and were on their home with heavy baskets full of mushrooms. They sang songs on the way, and played with each other. Soon they reached a point where they had to cross a railway track. They did not think twice about crossing it since there was no train coming, and they could not hear any whistle. They slowly climbed the embankment to cross the track, taking care not to drop the baskets. They were very near the track and the little sister was about the cross it, when they heard the distinct horn of a train. The older sister got frightened and ran back. She thought that the young one was following her. She turned back and was shocked to see her little sister still crossing the track. "Come back here, run back fast," she screamed. It seemed that the little girl could not hear her sister. She was still concentrating on stepping over the track with her little feet, and holding on to the basket. Then she tripped and fell on the track, scattering her mushrooms around. She sat down and began picking them up and putting in her basket. In the meanwhile the elder sister had become hysteric. She cried and screamed, calling her little sister to leave the mushrooms and run back, but it seemed as though the little one could not hear her. The engine driver panicked on seeing the girl and blew his whistle with all his might, but she appeared not to hear the whistle. Her sister was now crying loudly, overcome by panic, as the little sister crawled between the tracks on her hands and knees, to pick the rest of the mushrooms. The engine driver was helpless as it was not possible for him to stop the engine suddenly. He blew the whistle as hard as he could, but the engine rolled over the little girl. The older sister clasped her face with her trembling hands and cried bitterly. The passengers too panicked at the thought of the sight they would have to witness. The guard ran down to the end of the train to see what happened to the little girl. When the train passed, everybody saw her lying very still between the tracks with her face down. Then she raised her head, sprang to her knees and began gathering the remaining mushrooms. The big sister ran towards her, tears streaming down her face. They hugged and kissed each other, crying out of happiness, tears of joy flowing down their little cheeks. Never were two souls so happily united as at that moment. She promised her little sister that thereafter she would hold her hand tightly while crossing the railway line. The two sisters then picked all the remaining mushrooms, and hand in hand, solemnly walked back home. They were indeed two souls who had become wiser than their years, in the span of a few minutes. @Story_oftheday 🏰  🏡  🏜  🏕  ⛪️

Ah... her talons! She had always been proud of her talons. She hopped clumsily on the branch so that the Fox could take another look at her claws. Really, he did say the nicest things! The Crow was by now quite sure that she was the prettiest, most graceful and the strongest bird of all. The Fox smiled secretly to himself. He looked admiringly at the Crow and said, "Dear Mrs. Crow. I have not heard your voice. It must be the sweetest voice in the world, as beautiful as you are. Dear Mrs. Crow, won't you sing for me?" The Crow was flattered. All the other birds had told her that she had an awful voice. And here was the Fox begging her to sing for him! Of course, she had always known what a lovely voice she had... The Crow took a deep breath and opened her beak in a loud and raucous "Caw!" Down dropped the piece of cheese! The Fox snapped it up as it fell and swallowed it before the Crow realised what had happened. The Fox walked off chuckling. "Next time, Mrs. Crow, be careful what you believe!" he cried as he vanished through the trees. The Crow was left feeling foolish. How could she have been so vain and so silly, as to be taken in by the Fox's clever words and to lose her lovely dinner! The Crow ruffled her feathers sadly and got ready for a hungry night.

⛳️ The Foolish Crow The winter had been especially cold. The snow lay thick and heavy on the ground. The squirrels, the badgers and the hedgehogs had vanished into their snug winter homes to sleep away the cold, dark months. The swifts and the swallows had left for warmer countries long ago. Even the slugs and snails had disappeared, hiding away in some dark, warm patch of woodland to wait for the spring. The woods and fields were silent and empty. Only a big, black Crow was hunting for her evening meal. The Crow had flown all day in search of food. But she had found nothing, not even a tiny mouse or a piece of someone's leftover lunch. Now she was tired and hungry. She cawed sadly. "I will have to go without dinner tonight," she thought as she flapped slowly across the sky in one last desperate search for something to eat. She was on the point of turning back when she saw a thin column of smoke coming up into the sky, far away in the distance. "Smoke means fire and fire means cooking and cooking means food!" thought the Crow. She flew as fast as she could, towards the curling smoke. The smoke came from the chimney of a large farmhouse where the farmer's wife was cooking dinner for her family. A delicious-smelling stew was bubbling in a large pot over the fire and loaves of fresh-baked bread were on the table, ready to be cut into slices. A pat of butter and a chunk of cheese lay in their platters on the window sill. The farmer's wife had left the window open so the cold air would keep the butter from melting and the cheese from sweating. The Crow saw the cheese by the open window. Quick as a flash, she flew down to the window sill, picked the cheese in her big black beak and flew off. The farmer's wife was stirring the stew, with her back to the window. She did not see the Crow. The Crow was very pleased with herself. "Nothing like a piece of cheese on a cold winter afternoon!" she thought. She flew towards a clump of tall trees and perched comfortably on a bare branch high above the ground to enjoy her meal in comfort. A wily old Fox lay hidden among the bushes in the farmer's garden. He had roamed the woods and fields all day in search of food. But he had found nothing to eat, not a bird nor a mouse nor even the scraps from someone's picnic. Now he was tired and hungry. "I will have to go without dinner tonight," he sighed. He was on the point of turning back, when he saw the Crow perch on the bare branch with the piece of cheese in her beak. "What a lovely, smelly piece of cheese!" thought the Fox. "I must have that piece of cheese for my dinner. Now, if only I can take that cheese away from the Crow..." The Fox watched the Crow settle herself comfortably on the branch. He smiled slyly to himself. Strolling up to the foot of the tree, the Fox called out. "Good evening, Mrs. Crow! You look well today!" The Crow looked down at the Fox in surprise. She had never heard him speak so politely before. The Fox continued. "Oh Mrs. Crow, how beautiful you are! Your feathers are so black! So smooth and shining! Truly, I have never seen such feathers before!" The Crow was even more surprised. No one had ever called her beautiful before! Of course, she had always known how pretty she was. But it was pleasant to be admired by someone else. The Fox looked up at her and sighed. "How graceful you are, Mrs. Crow, how elegant! You fly so wonderfully well too and higher than an eagle!" The Crow held herself taller. She had always known how graceful and elegant she was. Of course, she could fly most wonderfully high! How clever of the Fox to know that. She flapped her wings just a little bit so he could admire them again. What a charming creature he was! The Fox took a deep breath and continued. "Your claws, ahem, I mean your talons, Mrs. Crow! They are stronger than steel!"

⛳️The Red Hen and Her Friends: Once, there lived a hen with her five chicks. The hen was as red as beetroot. She had three friends: a duck, a cat and a dog. They all lived happily. One day, the red hen stumbled on to a wheat seed. “Hey, who among you wish to plant this seed?" she asked. “Not me, friend" refused the duck. “Nor can I." declined the cat. “Count me not." the dog turned his back. “All right. I will do it then by myself," said the hen. She planted the seed and watered it. Alas! It grew quickly to yield the brownish wheat. “Hi! There, who among you wish to harvest the wheat?" asked the red hen. “Not me, friend," the duck sounded bored. “Nor can I." shrugged the cat. “Count me not!" avoided the dog. “If so, I will do it by myself," the red hen spoke up as she laboured all day along. By evening she had two gunny bags full of wheat. “Hello pal! Who among you will lend me a hand to grind this wheat? She queried. All the three refused as usual. "I will see that I grind this by myself. I will make flour, knead dough and bake bread!" she announced. The next day she baked delicious bread. “Howdy, who among you wish to eat this bread?" she asked merrily. “I want to!" answered the duck, smacking her lips. “Me too!" said the cat with his mouth watering. “Yummy, smells good," spoke up the dog, shuffling his feet eagerly. “None of you can have a bite! I slaved in the field and at home. Only my children and I are entitled to eat this bread!" So saying the red hen fed her chicks and ate a sumptuous meal that day. Moral: There are no gains without pains.

⛳️Foolish Monkeys Several centuries ago, there was a very large, dense, and dark forest. A group of monkeys arrived in the forest. It was winter season, and the monkeys struggled hard to survive the freezing cold nights. They were searching for fire to keep warm. One night, they saw a firefly and mistook it for a spark of fire. All the monkeys in the group shouted, "Fire, Fire, Fire! Yeah, we got fire!" A couple of monkeys tried to catch the firefly, but it escaped. They were sad because they could not catch the fire. They were talking to themselves, saying that they couldn't survive the cold if they didn't get the fire. The next night, they saw many fireflies again. After several attempts, the monkeys caught a few fireflies. They put the fireflies in a hole they dug in the ground and tried to blow on the flies. They blew on the flies very hard without knowing the fact that they were flies! An owl was watching the monkeys' activities. The owl approached the monkeys and told them, "Hey, those are not fire! They are flies. You won't be able to make fire from them!" The monkeys laughed at the owl. One monkey replied to the owl, "Hey, old owl, you don't know anything about how to make fire. Don't disturb us!" The owl warned the monkeys again and asked them to stop their foolish act. "Monkeys, you cannot make fire from flies! Please listen to my words." The monkeys continued trying to make fire from the flies. The owl told them again to stop their foolish act. "You are struggling so much. Go take shelter in a nearby cave. You can save yourselves from the freezing cold! You won't get fire!" One monkey shouted at the owl, and the owl left the place. The monkeys continued their foolish activity for several hours, and it was almost midnight. They were very tired and finally realized that the owl's words were correct and they were trying to blow on flies. They took shelter in the cave and escaped from the cold. We may go wrong many times and should seek and accept the advice and suggestions provided by others. @Story_oftheday 🏰  🏡  🏜  🏕  ⛪️
