The 2006 limit of 12 minutes of advertisements per hour has been removed, allowing broadcasters to decide ad minutes. This benefits broadcasters but will irritate viewers and further the decline of already falling TV viewership.

HoYoverse’s AI companion game BSide: Olivia Lin is officially shutting down its online services after just 28 days of Early Access. The game launched on Steam in China on July 13, 2026. An offline version will be released on August 27 at 3 PM. Players will still be able to listen to Olivia’s piano performances but online features like sending letters and uploading MIDI files will be removed. On August 31, BSide: Olivia Lin will be removed from Steam and its servers will officially shut down.
