We have recently released decisions for the Temari Abroad Scholars Program, and selected students have already been notified via email. If you haven’t received an email from us, unfortunately, it means we were unable to move forward with your application this time. We are truly grateful for the time and effort you put into sharing your story with us. While we wish we could support everyone, our resources are limited, and we did our best to be generous and thoughtful in our selection process. Please remember, not being selected does not mean you have lost. there are many opportunities ahead of you, and this is just one step in your journey. We sincerely wish you the very best in all your future endeavors.

ማን ይናገር የነበረ፤ ማን ያርዳ የቀበረ —--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ተማሪ abroad  በተለያዪ የአለማችን ትልልቅ ዪኒቭርስቲዎች እና ኮሌጆች በሚማሩ ኢትዮጵያን ተማሪዎች የሚመራ፤ በተማሪ፣ ለተማሪ የተቋቋመ ድርጅት ሲሆን ዋና አላማውም ኢትዮጵያውያን ተማሪዎችን በውጭ ሀገራት ነጻ የትምህርት እንዲያገኙ መርዳት እና ማገዝ ነው።  ውጭ ሀገር ሄደው በአለም ምርጥ ዪኒቭርስቲዎች ውስጥ ስለመማር አስበው ያውቃሉ ግን እንዴት እና ከምን መጀመር እንዳለበዎት አያውቁምን? እኛም በአንድ ወቅት አናውቅም ነበር። ስድስት፣ ስባት እንዲሁም ስምንተኛ ክፍል ሆነን፣ “እከሌ’ኮ ስኮላርሽፕ አግኝቶ ውጭ ሀገር ሄደ” ሲባል ስንሰማ፣ ‘ምነው የነሱን እድል በሰጠን’ ብለን ተመኝተናል፤ ብዙም ጠይቀናል፣ ለፍተናልም፤ ለፍተንም አልቀረን በአምላክ ፍቃድ ተሳክቶልን  ይሄው እንደተመኝነው ሁላችንም በምንፈልገው ዪኒቨርስቲ የምንፈልገውን ትምህርት በነጻ የትምህርት እድል እየተማርን ነው። ነገር ግን እዚህ በቃን አላልንም! ልክ እንደኛው ትልቅ አቅም እያላቸው፣ እድሉ መኖሩን ባለማወቃቸው ብቻ ማድረግ የሚችሉትን ማድረግ ያልቻሉ፣ ማግኘት የሚገባቸውን ያላገኙ ብዙ ኢትዮጵያውን ተማሪዎች በየትምህርት ቤቱ መኖራቸውን እንረዳለን፤ ለዚህም ነው ተማሪ abroad ብለን እኛ የመጣበትን መንገድ ለታናሾቻችን ለማሳዬት ፊትአውራሪ ሆነን የመጣነው።  ዛሬም ድረስ ልክ እንደ እኛ፣ “እከሌ እንዴት ነጻ የትምህርት እድል አገኘ?” ብሎ የሚጠይቅ አያሌ የስደስተኛ፣ የሰባተኛ፣ የስምንተኛ አሊያም የሃየስኩል ተማሪ እንዳለ  እናውቃለን። ታዲያ መንገድን ከመንገደኛው በላይ የሚያውቀው የለምና ፣ ካላችሁበት ድረስ መጥተን ድጋፍ ልንሆናችሁ፣ ጥያቄዎችችሁን ልንመልስላችሁ እንዲሁም ህልማችሁን እንድታሳኩ ልናግዛችሁ ይሄው እኛ የኢትዮጵያ ልጆች ካለንበት ተጠራርተን፣ እዚህ ከትመናል። እኛን ከሌሎች ለየት የሚያደርገን ዋነኛው ነገር፣ የማማከር አገልግሎቱን የሚሰጡት በተመሳሳይ ሂደት ወስጥ ያለፉ፣ ከሁለት ሶስት አመት በፊት ልክ እንዳናንተ ስኮላርሽፕ ለማግኝት ሲባዝኑ የነበሩ፣ ጠንክረው ሰርተው ህልማቸውን ያሳኩ፣ መንገዱን አንብበው ወይም ሲሉ ስምተው ሳይሆን ራሳቸው ሂደውበት የሚያውቁት፣ የእናንተው እኩዮች  መሆናቸው ነው።  የምንሰጣቸው አገልግሎቶች • የ SAT ዝግጅት(ከ8ኛ ክፍል ጀምሮ) • Scholarship Essay (ከመጀመሪያ ጀምሮ ሁሉንም  አስፈላጊ ክትትልና እገዛ) • College list and Financial aid (ሙሉ እገዛና ክትትል) • Extracurricular Activities (ሙሉ እገዛና ክትትል) ነጻ አገልግሎቶች • ጥሩ ውጤት ላላቸው የመንግስት ትምህርት ቤት ተማሪዎች • ጥሩ ውጤት ላላቸው ለመምህራን፣ እና ለጸጥታ ሰራተኞች ልጆች ለሌሎችም እንደ መክፈል አቅማቸው የተለያዪ ቅናሾች አሉን። እድሉ ሳያመልጠዎ፣ አሁኑኑ ይመዝገቡ። መመዝገቢያ ሊንክ፦  https://forms.gle/gGKx5jVMaYrfYzsu5 ዌብሳይታችንን ይጎብኙ፦  temariabroad.org የቴሌግራም ቻናላችንን ይቀላቀሉ፡- @Temari_Abroad

Noel T. Negash – Co-Founder & CFO ° Philadelphia, PA | Addis Ababa Education: Future Talent Academy Noel is an incoming Freshman at the University of Pennsylvania at the Wharton School of Business, majoring in Finance and minoring in CS from the College of Arts and Sciences. Driven to make profits and earn money, Noel began his trading journey at a young age, familiarizing himself with the cryptocurrency and commodity markets. However, this weird obsession has been his central story that supported him to receive a full-ride scholarship to the #1 business school in the US. As a Co-Founder and CFO of ተማሪ Abroad, he exploits his financial experience on designing the business models, and controlling the business markets for a strategic growth and long-term success. Fun Fact: He started investing since he was 15 and lost 4x the average monthly salary of a person in 2 days. (Don’t worry, you are in good hands now :) !)

Natnael Asffaw – Co-Founder & CSO ° Medford, MA | Dessie Education: Haile-Manas Academy Natnael is an incoming student at Tufts University, planning to major in Economics. He is an alumnus of Haile-Manas Academy, the Pioneer Academics Research Program, and the Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) initiative. As Co-Founder and CSO of ተማሪ Abroad, he focuses on designing mentorship content, shaping long-term strategy, and evaluating growth. Fun Fact: He’d die for three things: Ethiopian coffee (loves to brag using no sugar), classic songs from the ’60s and ’70s (all Éthiopiques tracks), and Liverpool.

Besufikad Asrat – Co-Founder & COO ° Chicago, IL | Jimma Education: UWC South East Asia - Singapore | Jimma University Special Secondary School Besufikad is an incoming freshman at the University of Chicago. His journey began in Jimma at Jimma University Special Secondary School, continued in Singapore at UWC South East Asia, and has now brought him to Chicago. As Co-Founder and COO of ተማሪ Abroad, he’s focused on operational excellence and making sure we reach students who need us most. Fun Fact: Becoming a national-level chess player and winning Ethiopia’s Under-20 Chess Championship at 14, he was considered a prodigy at chess.

Abdurahman Endris - Co-Founder & CEO ° Chicago, IL | Harbu, Wollo Education: Intellectual International School | Dessie Special Boarding School | UWC East Africa - Arusha, Tanzania Abdurahman is a sophomore at the University of Chicago, double majoring in Molecular Engineering and Computer Science. Born and raised in the rural highlands of Wollo, Ethiopia, he began his educational journey as a shepherd and went on to attend UWC East Africa in Tanzania for the International Baccalaureate diploma after completing 10th grade. He later earned a full-ride scholarship to one of the world’s top universities. As Co-Founder and CEO of ተማሪ Abroad, he will lead the initiative and coordinate outreach efforts to connect more Ethiopian students with life-changing opportunities. Fun Fact: He just might be the only former እረኛ from rural Ethiopia to end up at a top U.S. university — and he’s determined not to be the last.
