If you graduated with a low CGPA, you should be strategic about the kind of scholarships that you apply for. You should focus on scholarships that do not prioritise academic excellence. They are many scholarships like this. You should also focus on strengthening other parts of your application. Like your GRE/TOEFL test scores, your essay, your references letters, take online courses and send cold mails to professors in your research area of interest. There are many things you can do to improve your profile in order to prove that the CGPA you graduated with isn’t a true reflection of your abilities.

Remember if you can’t afford IELTS, you can request for an English proficiency letter from the university that you graduated from. The letter should explicitly state that you were taught and examined in English language throughout the duration of your studies. You can get this letter from your university registrar or your department’s HOD.

Studying in Czech Republic is free of charge if you are willingly to undertake your studies in Czech language.

The aim of the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship is to enable a female student from a developing country to study at Durham University. This scholarship is fully funded and Nigerian women are eligible. If you are applying for a Bachelor degree program in Germany, using only a WAEC certificate is not acceptable. You can use HND result or 100- level transcript from a recognised university. OND, NECO and NABTEB are also not sufficient.
