The biggest fraud committed on any nation's working proletariat is to be taxing them on an already taxed, take-away salary. It's one of the oldest debates in public finance & those who justify double taxation say it is taxing the event & not the money. So of you use an airport, pay for its development fee; watching a movie - entertainment tax; making an online booking - convenience fee; & the classic - if you use a good built road, pay tolls. But by the same logic, shouldn't services be then be given only to those paying income tax? While the remaining pay only for the event, he/she pays this additional tax over & above what the rest are paying. Though the rich too are paying corporate tax, but that isn't an apples-to-apples comparison. The counter argument usually in such debates usually is, you want to use government's well built roads but for free, without paying anything when in reality the payee is not availing any freebies, rather paying for other's freebies.
