Usually, a trip of this fun demands its own essay, but it appears I am in no condition to write one. (Thank my schedule for that) But, regardless, here are some pictures from our trip with @abroresc. We visited a couple valleys. Jetty-Oguz, Altyn Arashan, and trekked through Al Archa on the last day with Andrew and Nina. It was fun. Tried qymyz more. Ate Beshbarmak with a frenchman learning russian. Stayed in an actual yurta and endured the morning chill. Cracked jokes with local kyrgyzmen on a free dinner. Rode horses through the Jetty Oguz valley. And, ofc, made new amazing friends - as it always happens wherever you travel. I might go back to Kyrgyzstan at some point. But not soon. There's more places to explore. More dishes to try. And more people to meet. @husan_thinking
The main reason of our puerto rico trip. Kayaked on the brightest bio bay on earth, such a crazy experience! On the level of seeing the northern lights. Couldn’t bring my phone coz we got all wet and my gopro wasn’t recording in the night time properly🥲
It’s right here
yo we’re like 50km from epstein island
Small tip for those flying to the US for the first time, know the address of the housing that you’re going to be living in. It's pointless and unnecessary coz almost all of the college dorms just go by the hall name, but it helps just in case you end up at a complete jackass of a person at passport control after you land at the airport. I was asked the address of my residence hall and the only thing I new was that it's called Rice Hall and there's an upperclassman with a car waiting for me to drop me off at my housing. Kept telling her that and she started telling about sum sending me back to where I came from. The only address I knew was college's (even everyone's postal address goes by the college address and the corresponding campus box number) and she tells "no I didn't ask for college address I need your dorm's". A bunch of explanations after they continued on doing extra security checks including my laptop, phone, everything inside them and etc which took at least an extra hour. So yeah probably and hopefully you never have to worry about such stuff but knowing small details like these might help just to avoid the extra hustle.
16 of them were on scandinavian airlines. Didn't like them much in the beginning because they don't provide any meals nor there's a screen in front of you. After time it became my favorite airline – starlink on almost all the flights (some ppl sit on their laptops, I was watching reels the whole time), the ones that didn't have ppl just read books, people are very clean and everything works efficiently and one of the best loyalty programs that don't require a paid membership. In just a few flights I got their first membership level that allows me to select seats for free and an extra check in bag for every flight. Almost every service in scandinavia got discounts for young adults (16-25 yrs usually), including the airlines. You can buy "young" ticket in scandinavian and norwegian airlines for like 50% off on select dates (that's how I was able to fly round trip to Iceland for 135 euros and 64 euros to Rome from Tromsø). Never had to go to a check in station and print my pass, everything is on the phone and the app is really cool, you can literally watch live the percentage of ppl boarding and everything else on a notification widget.
hitting 30+ flights for this year already lol
everyone laughing about argentine peso while it's still worth more than an uzbek sum😭
